I'm not sure I have many WTF trophies left...

the 5 mines IAR was easy enough I just walked around my own base when CYMBOL was on the other team!

I only one I have left I can think of is (destroy a turret after it has got 5 kills).

So, am I supposed to sit by an enemy turret waiting for him to kill five of my teammates? I like trophies that you "earn", not some random, crazy circumstance.

I really need to look at my trophies and see if I have anymore dumb ones to get.

We'll be doing the booster pack levels once more for those who weren't around to get things like: get 7 people in a dropship, get the mine on the top of the dome, etc.

But I only want to have 3 maps or so for trophy stuff - then I planning to play some games.

oh yeah, I should add that if we're 12 and under on head count I can host without cataclysmic failure.

That'd be cool - I don't think we'll go over 12, so that should work.

If everyone has OD pack, we should do the trophy for having a full dropship.

I try to do that in game, but it's Warhawk, so no one likes people a team player. We usually end up with 2-3 guys max.

A couple easy suggestions:


1. Cowboy - perfect TDM round

2. Collector - capture 4 cores at once

3. Overkill - kill enemy aircraft with 8+ swarm

4. Dumbfire - kill enemy aircraft without locking missile

5. Flying Fortress (if you do OD) - Awarded to the driver and all six passengers of a fully-loaded Dropship.

6. Anti-Camper

In my playing last night I got Canyon Run and Surgical Strike.

I really like to limit my trophy boosting in warhawk just because its nice to say on some of the crazy ones that I legitimately got it...


But getting 6 people in a dropship? ha! Starting a clan with 10 people? Ha! Surgical strike on a dropship? Yeah... I could have worked for that one but at the time... once you taste the juice of boosting trophies its hard to excercise restraint.

I got the 6 people in a dropship in like 30 seconds. I joined a room and there was already a dropship floating around close to the ground. Me and two others got in right away and the trophy was ours

Well aren't you special.

I've been trying, but the lack of communication is Warhawk is sickening. Seems like most of the people who use the mic (probably 5% of community) do so only to complain and call people names.

I got dumbfire the other day (basically I panicked and shot my homing missle before it could lock on cause I was about to die - luckily, it killed him and I got a trophy out of it.)

Overkill is easy - I surprised you haven't gotten that one Copy. Just lock all your missles onto a Warhawk busy picking on a ground troop or flag carrier. Done.

We'll do flying fortress. (Many of us did this early on when trophies first came out.)

I'll provide more of a breakdown on the official site. The idea is to get the "dumb ones" out of the way. Most of the others you can get through normal gameplay, although you might have to try specifically during a match to get them.

We all did the "5 mines in one game" - one person threw the mine, and 4-5 people would stand on it and get blown up at once. Pretty fun.

Um, that's why it's called the "overkill" trophy.

1 Homing missile after they're soften up a bit? Is there a way to lock on with a Homing missile without waiting for the full lock? I swear people get me with it and there was no lock. And it's more then just firing at close range (which I've finally learned is the trick).

Yeah, I find if I went into a game with a few in mind, I got them fairly easy. Some require luck - dropping bombs on a plane, well, most times that chance comes around I don't have any bombs.

Finally had my lightening gun charged when an APC shield was up and I destroyed it. (Till that trophy came out, I didn't know you could break the shield like that. )

Got my porpcupine trophy by deploying a shield as a Warhawk was in my tail machine gunning me. I stopped and hit the shield and he ran right into it. Shame you can get that trophy only once.

I'll get a list all squared away in the next couple of days, still waiting for more feedback and players.

For me, the TDM and DM stuff is the least likely to get on my own since I don't play those modes.

And yuk. I tried to play tonight and once again I run into 8-year-old schoolgirls playing. All they can do is swear and talk about their stats. They must be really horrible people in real life.

One guy TKed me by running over me (my back was to him and he came in a jeep and could see me for ages). Anyway, he never said sorry, he just started talking about how much I suck, how his stats are better and who knows what else. Idiots. I did finish ahead of him for the game though, but I don't care.

I'm glad I found an awesome group for Socom. No problems at all.

well...I know you guys have been losing sleep over my inability to play due to weird issues, so, fret no longer!! It was just a bad install, I deleted the game data and reinstalled it, now, I am up and running.

Good to hear - I figured it was either a bad disc, or a corrupted download.

Did you just get the game? Be sure and go through the training first. Wish that was around when I first got the game.

Hey CYMBOL what time are you guys moving to the Sony server to play? I'd be up for that for sure.
I'll skip the trophy getting session though as I have pretty much all the ones I can get (except the ranking up ones).

We haven't nailed down the exact list and map times - I'll keep you posted. Be sure to check the official site, since that's where I'll be posting all the official data.

Also, you asked what time we play in general a couple of posts back - except for the occasional structured weekend game, most people just play whenever. I have most people in the Clan in my friends list, that way I don't have to log into Warhawk to see if anyone is on. Plus, it helps during matches cause people can PM me with any issues (forgot password, etc).

I am on whenever I get the chance (usually later at night), or during the day on the weekends. Everything is based on my infant. I feel bad sometimes, cause people will join my game and my kid awakes from a nap and I have to immediately leave.

For me, when I get a chance, I play. Be sure and join me sometime, (I have a problem joining most members because of my higher rank) - just don't take it personally if I have to suddenly leave.

BTW, is the game room for Sat. going to be ranked? I wasn't sure if you had to be ranked to get trophies or not.

It's not ranked (not needed for Trophies) - and it's too hard to coordinate between teams without open mic. Also, some folks are touchy about their KDRs.

Projected maps/times.

Unranked, open mic, team switching allowed

• Omega Factory - Full map - Collection - 15 minutes
• Omega Factory - Rumble Dome - DM - 10 minutes
• Glacier Fields - Half Map - CTF - 15 minutes
• Tau Crater - Full Map - CTF - 15 minutes
• Eucadia - Over the Bridge - TDM - 10 minutes

The last map just gives people one last chance to get stuff they didn't during the other maps. Also, I thought I would be fun to practice knocking people driving jeeps and tanks off the bridge with a Warhawk. We can take turns giving it a try.

After these maps, I'll join a ranked Sony server (everyone can join me through the buddy list) and we can play a couple of games together before calling it a day.

We'll be playing for our regular hour and a half/two hours.

Probably about 4pm EST would be a good time to see what we're up to. We should be jumping onto the Sony servers about that time.
