I have hundreds of hours played (side note, I think I'm at 63,000 points, so Commander is coming soon!). I love this game and I want to see it get better. If people leave, the game dies a slow death. Since Warhawk is the game I've played the most by far, I'd hate to see it go downhill.

Omega Dawn came out and I'm sorry, but how many people here play that map often? I sure don't. It's not on the map list for the CTF games I play (under 32 players). Also, when I join big games, I don't see Dropships used.

My point is that team play is laughable in 90% of all games. The dropship was a team item and it's wasted. So, rather than focusing on other "team" items, do some individual stuff.

I'm all for APCs and Dropships as I'm a team player, and a good one. But, when it's you and 1-2 other guys at most working together, this doesn't matter.

But, I'm not hating the APC. I hope it works out well. And I'm all for updates. They just need to happen a little more frequently. I'm thinking that this update sets some new ground (weapon overlays) for some future items to expand gameplay.

It's funny cause whenever I play, there's not a single game that doesn't have a dropship. No kidding either.

That's because you're playing 32-player games (or player servers), right?

I only play 8 and 24 ranked CTF and Zones. There isn't Omega Dawn maps on these games.

Used to play 32-player games, but it got old. Obviously, they're better on OD maps, but on the original maps there's too many players.

I may have to play a few 32-player games tonight. I should get more familiar with OD maps. I don't know crap anymore.

I haven't played Omega Dawn maps in a long time. The last time I did I was all alone on one side of the map. I could see gunfire in the distance, but nobody was getting even close to me. I ended up just sending TOW missles into the other teams base, nobody ever found me.

By the way, regarding the Dropship, I personally do not think it is useful in many games unless there is someone that knows what they are doing. Most of the time there is just 1 person hovering around in it and getting blown up by tanks and missiles. I still think it kind of sucks that the Dropship can pick-up the flag in CTF games. Not that it is hard to shoot it down, but I am usually on teams where people believe that using their machinegun on a Dropship will cause a lot of damage.

Do all retail versions of Warhawk come with the Bluetooth headset? I'm looking at the one on Target.com and it just shows the disc case, not the entire box, and the case doesn't have the "headset included" picture like it normally does. Is there any sort of guarentee, or can stores just do whatever they want?

I checked out Target.com and they sell two different versions. For $39.99 you just get the disc, no headset.

It looks like they just use the same photo for both versions, but I am sure the 59.99 version is the one with the headset. That is what I paid for mine.

yeah you can get it with either the headset or not.

New Video of Warhawk APC

I think it also acts as a portable spawn point with a random weapon given alongside the standard pistol when spawned through it. The boost either instakills or does great damage to other vehicles. Not sure if you have to stop to charge it up like that.

The boost could be charged and ready to go when the flag carrier jumps in. Quick way to get away from grenades.

Have they came up with a release date for 1.3 and Broken Mirror yet?

Had a good time playing on Saturday... only need 250 more points to rank up now thanks to Vektar and Green Motion

Yeah man, that 4 vs 2 was brutal. We were juggling defense and offense but no matter what we did, we got our asses kicked. I believe at one time, you guys had two troops on the ground and two in the air while we had one on the ground and one in the air.

I am surprised Vektar and I were able to got any kills whatsoever since it seemed that no matter where we were, you guys were right there waiting for us.

Not to bad for not playing for 2 or 3 months but that was crazy unfair. It was fun though, ive played a little everyday now since sat. Got to get back up to speed for the new update.

Try not even holding a PS3 controller for 4 and 1/2 months. It's gonna be brutal when I log back into Warhawk with all new gameplay available.

I've been playing Warhawk often over the past two weeks. Getting MLB The Show 08 today, so I may be limiting my play.

I faced a 3 vs 1 and held my own for a little while.... i think I actually may have won that CTF match because I capped the flag and they couldn't... but that was during my prime WH playing days

Yeah, it depends how coordinated the team is. If it's just 3 random people who don't talk and you're primed up, you may stand a shot.

The best game I've ever played in was a 32-player match. All 16 of us were working together and using the mics. We'd grab all the vehicles and then bum rush their base. Each time we'd roll in with 10 tanks and 6 Warhawks AT ONCE.

It was damn amazing. Obviously, we never came close to losing. And no one was ever really at the base. The other team got locked into defending and they lost always.

That was last year, but I still remember it.

I'm going to try and play Warhawk tonight. I don't think I'll be Commander for some time. I'm a team guy and I love winning, so if I see my team sucks on D, I'll hang back and lock it down, which usually means minimal points for me.

I'm 3,013 (as of now). Where does everyone else rank? I expect to be lower on the tree (in my 30s, limited time, yadda yadda yadda).

I've said before that I think TDM is a stupid mode. My TDM scoreis 78.

Also have about 2030 ribbons and 14 of the medals. Guess I need to play TDM and Zones more to unlock that stuff.

Commander (6k more points) is going to take eons.
