What is your NAT type? You will have mic issues if you are at NAT type 3.

Beware all you who download, the game is only available on the account used to download the game.

Thanks for the response. That's pretty small for such a big game.

If you think about it, since its online only, there is no story mode, no enemy AI, ne prerendered cut scenes, etc. you basically have a map, actions of weapons and vehicles, and character models. not much too it.

Default Impressions?

Alright Warhawk Owners:

It's time to take a break from your online playing and answer some questions for those of us who are fence-sitting on this title!

Answer Candidly:
1. Are there many other players yet? What's the most you've seen (approx.)?

2. What is the learning curve? Follow-up - would you consider yourself a "hardcore gamer"?

3. What game would you compare this to? (Gameplay, graphics, etc.)

4. If you downloaded the game, do you wish you had gotten the headset now? If you got the box/headset, do you wish you had just downloaded it?

5. First impressions in 5 words or less.

I look forward to hearing your answers. This game looks like fun. Thanks in advance to anybody who takes the time to answers these questions.

Take it easy all,

p.s. Is the game 720p or higher?

Thanks,

Your right, guess I didn't think about it like that. I hope the future updates are free (I really hope to see bots introduced. Sometimes, I don't want my @ss handed to me. )

1. I didnt scroll through the list of servers, but there seemed to be plenty. I saw a couple that allowed ~32 players that were full.

2. VERY easy. I'm not hardcore, and I'm pretty bad at multiplayer shooters. Controls are very simple and comfortable after a couple minutes.

3. I dont know what I can compare it too. Graphics are crisp and a pleasure to watch.

4. I downloaded, because I dont like using voice on mmultiplayer games. Never have. I just want to play. Defeat as many enemies as possible.

5. Fast paced comfortable challenging fun.

Man, this game is so fun. The dogfighting is quick, intense, and real easy to get in to. I love the destroyed city(capital?) level. I suck on the ground but I'm getting pretty good in the air.

I'm RenegadeGuardian, btw.

Alright, I went out on a limb and downloaded Warhawk.

I shouldn't have done it. Knew I should have waited for some more people to give their impressions.

1st. The download specifically says "Standard up to 1080p". Mine is coming in at 720p. The only games I have that show up in 720p are (you guessed it) games that are 720p. My Stardust game comes in just fine in 1080p. What gives? Anybody else notice this?

2nd. I joined two games. After 2 minutes in the first game of Capture the Flag, my entire PS3 froze. Even the PS button wouldn't work. Had to hold the power button to get a re-boot. 2nd game, 2 minutes in (couldn't find anybody to shoot) the game totally froze again. What's the deal? Anybody else have this going on? It's late so I'm giving up for now (probably shouldn't have tried it out right before bed.)

If I still have this problem tomorrow, I'm calling Sony and demanding my money back.

I haven't had any freeze-ups, and I've been playing since about 2:30 PM EST. The only troubles I've had have been player related issues, where the person hosting drops out and everything lags a bit before it DCs. What servers were you on? Official, or someone hosting?

I just joined anything. How do I tell between official and a person hosting?

I joined 2 different games and both froze. I reeeallllly hope this is not how the game is going to be.

Cymbol: Are you using regular rooms? Or offical Sony rooms? (The blue ones are Sony)

I havent tried user rooms yet, but the Sony one I joined was great.

If thats not it, you may just have a bad disk like Bluray movies that lock up? You might just want to swap for a new one. Or try the download.

I didnt notice whether my game was running at 720 or 1080, but ill check tonight.

So is the game really that good? I may just suck it up and buy it today. I get paid Friday, so it won't hurt my CC that much...lol

Thanks much

Put in many hours last night, not one freeze. Love the Jabra. People were yelling at me last night, the beta definitely gave my a slight advantage.

Yes it is. Once you get good and fast with the controls, it's so much fun and the fun just keeps escalating.
