As to MGS, I haven't played much of the "Solid" series, so I got the Essential Pack to catch up. MGS4 should showcase the PS3's potential really well.

I'll probably still be playing Warhawk in June. The knife BS is really killing the game fun for me though. If it worked right, I'd have like 100-200 knife kills a day. Yesterday I knifed a guy 5 times and nothing happened. He killed me with his knife when his back was to me and he was jumping away. WTF?

The game is dying though. Omega Dawn was a BS upgrade. Not many have it or play it and there's no 8-player games to be found. They really need some new maps and to give 3-4 for free, so the game can keep living.

New "decorations" are nice, but yawn, still playing on the same maps with the same issues.

Omega just didn't change the game like I hoped it would. I just never liked the drop ship and HATED that it could carry the flag. And I don't know why they didn't add an 8 player for Omega. And Omega was almost too big. I wouldn't mind a "boost" on jeeps or tanks (when not in possesion of the flag) so you could get to your destination a little quicker sometimes.

I did like the Island 8 player. Kind of cool - for a while anyway. I didn't like the change in 8 player maps for Island Outpost. It wasn't balanced enough. My favorite is Eucadia 8 player.

Hope the new map adds a bit more dimension - sounds like their also working on some new variations to the gameplay - could be cool - or it could fizzle quickly like the Omega pack. I don't play games with the dropship anymore (well, when I was home).

Can't wait to hear all of your impressions once the new update is out.

April 2 just isnt getting here fast enough, and i like some of those added smaler maps. Ive been playing the offical japanese server Zones games and they have the omega dawn map like every other game.

I guess the best solution is to host your own ranked game so you can select all the stuff you like.

I've only hosted a couple non-ranked games, but I'm assuming it's the same.

But, the game is dying due to issues and lack of content. Lots of servers are just 0 out of X players.

The only bad thing about hosting your own is that you have to have 8 for the ranked game to start... it's kinda bs but I guess it was a way for them to prevent stat padders.

That sucks.

It's so easy to lose 1 and be at 7.

Oh well, that option is out.

Not if you can get enough clan members together to play... well even that can be hard to do LOL

I am going to be setting up a server every night this week as soon as I get home (7:00PM EST) since I have the next couple of weeks off from class... Copy you are a commander right?

The team and I’d like to think that we can, rather *should*, support the game we’ve already released and work on a new title at the same time.
We take the support of our players and our current game very seriously and don’t want abandon them just because we are looking at new development.
I know if I was a player and a dev ditched me I’d be pissed.

Things are going really well and it does look like April 2nd is going to happen…but, I just get nervous about saying a date before the SONY gate-keepers give me that “all-clear”

You are exactly right!
As you know we keep updating you guys with new free stuff along with new boosters.
So while I can’t say too much, I can say that the team is hard at work on developing some new game modes.
We have a lot of new designs at various phases of development so I can’t say which ones will make the cut for the v 1.4 patch just yet…but rest assure that the next patch *will* have new modes, and of course, they will be free.

So first off, let me say that yes, the new battlefield is very large. In fact, it is bigger than Omega Dawn — But Wait !!!
This was done very intentionally so that we could provide more, variety with the layouts in this new Booster-Pack than any other previously released level.
There are way more small layouts and medium sized layouts — including some asymetrical ones.
There are 10 layouts in the new battlefield so you guys will have more control over the games your setting up.
We were very aware that we needed to give you smaller layouts with this booster pack so hopefully you’re happy with the increased variety of small to medium layouts.

You know its funny the booster pack was the first thing I ever bought on psn ever... and it might be the last.. I got it because my friend accidentally had bought it then I decided to get it so I can play with the drop ship with him.

Cant wait to try this in a real game.

I was on last night at 8 with about 3 or 4 other people from the blu clan but didn't see you in there Colorado. You gonna be starting another server tonight around the same time?
