I guess I need to go to pilot school. It seems like I shoot the other person half a dozen times with guns, missiles, or whatever and they never blow up. I get looked at wrong and I'm part of the debris falling through the sky. Of course lately I don't seem to be able to get more than 10 feet off of the ground without someone blowing me out of the albeit very short air. Anyone want to start a Top Gun school?

Way back when the game first came out i used to play dogfights all the time and was always in the top 2 for like 2 months but then i stopped and started doing CTF now when ever i get into the air i die easy. This game can be a pain sometimes you just have those people who are good at these types of games and people like me who can play all the time but not really get much better.

I think I shot you down once or twice last night.

Just remember that the swarm missiles are like little slaps. You could land six of them and still not kill the guy. And they are easier to dodge than homing.

One idea would be to start an offline game, get in a plane and show a plane on the ground. Get a feel for different combos and what's needed for the kill.

Also, pay attention to the environment. For instance, if there's a health close by, ask yourself if you can finish the guy off before he gets there (should he be going that way). If not, hold fire and let him heal. You really need to manage your weapons--especially against average or better pilots.

As much as I hate dogfight matches they are a good way to practice... I will be on later tonight and will get a server going with some dogfights, zones, and ctf.

Yea it seemed like no one was going for our flag once it got captured so I jumped in a flew after it a couple of times. I think you and that other guy was just waiting on someone to get close to the jeep. I either had to go for the flag or try to fight you or him. Hopeless in either case. After that I tried to go for you flag. And was outnumbered. Then stayed for defense and was outnumbered. I'm not sure where everyone was.

As for the flying. I think you are probably right. I should probably think things out more in the air. I tend to get in the air and just go after someone.

we got pwnd good, even when we could get in the sky they would just team up and destroy us in a matter of sec's. I guess it didnt help that they had more area then we did since a few of us came in late.

I was going to post this at Blu-tech and here but I keep having problems with the blu-tech server. I was thinking about the practice and thought maybe we should also have some practice with it set just to dogfight. Obviously there are Air to ground combat techniques that we need also but you at least have to be able to get in the air and be able to stay in the air to use them. I know I need the practice in all of those. What does everyone think?

I would, but my video game time is limited AND I just got both the 360 and PS3 version of GTA4 as gifts this weekend.

Looks like I'll be a bit busy.

Well I should be able to access my ps3 by the middle of this week. Tile should be in tomorrow or tuesday and should be good to put all the stuff back by wednesday

I can't wait to get in some matches with ya'll. That last one where nobody showed up sucked.
