I played last night for the first time in a while and I actually did pretty well, considering.

No blu clan members were on though :-( Let me know when you all plan to play/practice again.

I was on from 6-8:30 eastern last night and most of that same morning.

It always seems more fun when you are shooting someone who isnt a total stranger.

For some reason i cant post on Blu-Tech... I tossed a message to the admin (Movies3 i think). Anyway.

I will be on late tonight and will try and be on all this week after work. I agree we will need to practice for the tourney as a group to get a feel for where we need to improve.

Thanks guys - and to everyone else who sent a "Welcome Back" via the friend list.

It's good to be back! It's always a shock seeing those green hills and trees (not sand and cloudless skies as far as the eye can see), those cool breezes (instead of a wind that feels like it came from a furnace), and the feeling of being back in your own home (not some cramped space that you occupy for a few months), in your own clothes (not military gear 24/7) - with your family surrounding you.

I updated my PS3 and checked out a few things (the new store is nice). I got the new Warhawk patch (couldn't help it) - and my kid said, "Why don't you get on and see how bad you've gotten". I thought, "Sure, how bad can it be".

First thing I do, grab some mines and go to put it on a wall - and hit the wrong button, throwing a grenade at the wall and back at myself! I was two health bars away from having my first action on Warhawk be a suicide.

I was somewhere in the middle of the rankings at the end of the game (and surprised - I thought I'd be way lower).

The second game was in the new Snow level - I wasn't sure where to go and ended up 10th in the rankings with a score in the 60's (still trying to figure out that new vehicle and the bio-field.)

I'm a long way from my old playing habits. Hopefully, in the next few weeks I can get back to my old playing level and maybe be of some use when I get a chance to join some of these games with you all.

I'll probably be jumping on and off the next few weeks and will be spending time with my family the next couple of weeks - so I won't be commiting to any game times for a little while.

As always - if I see a Blu-Clan member playing, I'll try and join you.

Geez, I may have to actually play this game one more time to do a little tank bombing.

I was playing last night on a ranked user server. The guy on my team kept saying "if anyone takes the other flag or kills CaptainAce, you will be banned from the server". So I look and this guy Ace is on the other team. They are obviously stat padding.

I decided this game wouldn't be fun, but before I left I captured the other teams flag AND killed CaptainAce. It wasn't too difficult, so obviously they are "newbs".

I can't understand wanting to rank up quickly if you aren't that good. I haven't played in a while and the servers I have to join sometimes are filled with people way better than me because I haven't been playing. Those games aren't fun!

Incidentally, I was promptly banned from the server

It's not like you are getting new weapons or perks based on your rank i.e. COD4 . . . maybe it is tied into the 360 achievement mentality?

That is why I usually avoid player ranked servers. Oh well, maybe in time he will get his stats reset.

It makes them feel like they've "accomplished" something. Rank doesn't mean anything, especially now with the changes.

I played one map last night and then got bored. I ended up playing the Grid demo and watching my recording of Bones.

I thought the Grid demo was pretty good. Not quite the feel of the gran turismo cars though. Online was okay. I have another post around here somewhere on that topic though. Watched Bones too. And played a little Warhawk though I didn't see anyone else around. Might be on late tonight though.

Well, Grid isn't really a sim, so it shouldn't be like GT (as far as I know).

Online was fun (played a couple games). I like how you can total your car, which keeps people from just crashing into you over and over.

Guess I should start playing GTA4 tomorrow. So many games piling up.

it was really over hyped and its alright best GTA i think but everyone more or less stopped playing it after the 2nd day. i think im only 23% done but i dont think ill try for 100% thats way to much work.
