I originally threw the idea of wednesday out there, but it looks like even I won't be able to play tonight Suffice it to say that if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all

I tore myself away from Metal Gear and played three games last night. I got first, second, and third place respectively in the games but I was on the losing team each time, go figure

I should be good to go on saturday.

I will be able to play tonight or tomorrow night, 10pm or so. I think Thursday it would have to be 10pm or later.

Will you be able to make Saturday 2pm EST?

I don't think I can commit to tonight or tomorrow - (just had family come in to visit), but you guys know me - if I have a spare moment - I'm on Warhawk.

That seems to be my luck also. I get "Warhawk Team" and ribbons, etc - but I'm the first place loser.

I just think it's funny when I'm on a losing team and some guy is on the headset yelling at everyone and saying, "Why isn't anyone doing anything. Am I the only one trying to win the "freaking" game?" - after a while of listening to these guys, I usually chime in and say, "Player's name, at the end of this game, your name better be on the top of the score board". (I usually place in the top 3 or 5, so, I feel pretty confident saying this).

Usually, at the end of the game that persons name is somewhere in the middle to lower half. Kills me every time.

And what makes me laugh is it's usually a Texan and the accent cracks me up (being Brittish of course)...
I'm the same, usually place in the top 3 and the guy shouting all the orders finishes in the middle, so funny!!!

I'll be online tonight if anyone can make it otherwise see as many as possible on Saturday.

I'm going to be at the lake this weekend

There is a PS3 there, but we don't have it set up for internet access and really.. it's the lake - I should be outside .. swimming and lighting stuff on fire.

My god man! A PS3 with no internet - the horror!

You don't need to go "outside" to swim and light stuff on fire - that's what video games are for. . . . .

One of the funniest things I ever saw/heard - I was in Iraq and we had a contractor there with a thick southern accent (Texas, Arkansas, etc.); and he had an Iraqi who worked with him. The Iraqi learned English from the contractor and consequently, whenever the Iraqi spoke, it was with a strong southern accent!

I'm assuming you're playing CTF. If so, score doesn't mean "participation" at all. For instance, I could do more than anyone on my team is even capable of and still finish in the middle of the pack.

Think about that. I kill 50 people, that's just 50 points. Perhaps I keep trying to take their flag, that's just a couple more points unless I score it. Someone else sits at base and just runs to the flag when it's taken and kills maybe 4 people. He will have more points.

I've been on teams where I was close to last place, yet I had 6+ times the kills as the 2nd best person (for kills), took some bases and actually touched the enemy flag (and got no support bringing it back).

Of course, I don't yell at my team. I ask for help and give people ideas what to do, but if it's not being done, I just stop trying and mess around until the next game. If everyone's staying at the base, I'll return home and just practicing sniping and stuff.

But, that's all gone now. I've safely put Warhawk in the games cabinet.

Hey, you use whatever scenario you need to help justify your low scores. We're here for you buddy.

I'm kind of a loner when I play. I'm a "team" player, and if someone has a good idea or strategy, I'll hop on board with others to make it work - but I play more behind the scenes - take Zones, and put Mines on every road, base, jeep and plane - I like to sneak into to the enemy's camp and use their own mines on their planes, etc.

I'm very rarely at my home base. Usually, one of my mines is the culprit for stopping a flag from getting to far.

I'm trying to get in the plane more - but find I'm not too helpful. So, most times, if you see me in a plane, it's because I'm using it to quickly get and place mines around the board. Look at my profile - weapon most used - Mines.

My points are mostly from kills - but I do know what you mean - not every point chart is an exact representation of actions taken.

He's been 15 days Warhawk free!

If I had a nickle everytime Copywriter came out of retirement for "one last game".

I bet Copywriter gets the ol' Warhawk uniform out of the closet once in while - tries it on, sure it's a little tighter than it used to be, but it still fits.
He gets a little teary eyed and has to put it away again.

Besides, Copy's moved on to bigger and better things. . .
Can't wait to see those trophies from Kung Fu Panda!

I kicked the crap out of Kung Fu Panda.

I'm moving into Chapter 3 of 6 in Heavenly Sword now. Should finish it by tomorrow.

Yeah, if Warhawk releases a bunch of trophies, I'll dust it off for one last time. I plan on getting lots of trophies.
