Practice and a steady thumb It's a big advantage if you have a larger tv too, you can more easily see the other people when you are sniping. It is very important when you are in a sniping battle and all you can see is the other snipers head!

you can get a 120" screen and a projector well under the price you would pay for a HDtv.

What is this "720P" you speak of?!

I have a really high ceiling thats slanted - it wouldn't work, I already thought about it (I don't want a really long pole hanging down from my ceiling). Maybe in my next house. If I had a regular ceiling - I'd definitely look into it.

The way i see 98% of games on the ps3 are 720p so its good for gaming now watching movies on blu ray is an other story but 720p isnt so bad i set my ps3 to out put only that and there wasnt much of a difference.

I was thinking of getting that projector for the mom and pop because they dont really need anything more then 720p, all they watch is HD cable and a blu ray from time to time.

Yeah, video games don't seem to be much different. They don't have/need the fine detail of some movies.

I switched some of my settings and forced Warhawk to 1080p - didn't notice a difference - so I put all my settings back.

And even games that are 1080p (Lair) - I didn't notice that much of an improvement.

If/when I move - a projector will be my next t.v.

Right now though, I'm looking at getting a new receiver - Either the Onkyo 606 or 805. . . . still can't decide.

played last night. wow! im out of practice.

i did get 2 medals though, didn't seem like they were that hard to get.

got about 25 ground kills and 2 air kills. and got killed about 100 times.

fun game though once you kind of get the hang of it.

Are you trying for a rank or something?

As for being out of practice - I was deployed for 4 months - the first thing I did when logging on to Warhawk when I came back was push the wrong button and throw a grenade at a wall that bounced back and hit me in the face! I had 1 health bar left to keep me from committing a suicide about 5 seconds into my first game.

But playing Warhawk is like riding a bike. . . . only with planes and machine guns. Once you start up again, it comes back pretty quick.

guys... its 7:23am in Cali and I haven't slept yet, its times like this where I feel strange, like i'm not completely sober or something... I call this my zombie state... is this a rant? ah well who cares.

I had fun on warhawk tonight, i've spent almost 50 hours in a warhawk already so i'll get my 9th medal soon.. oh and my KDR is now over 01.0 or something like that.

i was playing ranked matches.

i never played much to begin with, only had logged about 4 hours on the game. i totally forgot the controls though, and yes i did blow myself up with a grenade, trying to find the zoom (that doesn't exist apparently) for the pistol and assult rifle.

Are you like a beginner to the whole Warhawk scene, because you can get some vids for which you can improve your sniper tactics. Here, I'll post one for ya:

If you want to dodge missiles and rake up those air to air kills, you must set your controls to proflight, which might take a little getting used to. Heres another vid to show how to dodge missiles easily:

Yeah, I joined your game last night and to my dismay found you in a "dogfight".

I stayed but did horrible. I hate dogfights. But I figured I need to get my "time in Warhawk" up.

Dont get a 805 they are huge and have some compatibility issues with the PS3, so you should get a 705 its like half the size of a 805 and its newer so it works much better. I have the 705 and am really happy with it, other then the fact everytime you do something it makes a click sound when changing the audio.

Is it just me? I played last night for a few hours, so, I don't think it's related to 2.41.

I just want to get my Warhawk fix.

I have to exit quickly after every game and then rejoin the server I was in. Otherwise it freezes on me about 75% of the time. The points still end up counting though so I don't really mind.

yes! that was fun... you were doing quite good actually, I think it was just the guys on the oppasite side, they kept teaming up on us, it was terrible... would you like some help tho? maybe I can give you some tips in a game or something.

ah, I play with my brother... he's addicted to warhawk now, so everytime he comes over thats all he wants to do, he rather play then watch a blu-ray... trying to get him to use pro flight.
