Yeah, if you have a decent sound system and surround sound on - you'll often here the beeping noise in one of the rear speakers (depending on which way you're facing).

It's usually a good time to freeze.

Most times though, you get this look -

- and then it's too late!

Nice to see that peeps are still playing this. I kinda shelved my copy for awhile for MGS4. Have they fixed the "fragmentation" of rooms yet? Cause i think thats what ticked me off the most before i got MGS4. That and there were no official small maps to be found.

Nope, its still fragmented in terms of expansion pack. I don't ever have trouble finding a nearly full game to play in. And sadly, there are still not any small maps on the official servers. Hopefully those will come back with the updates that are due soon.

Welcome back to the Warhawk thread!

Go back a couple of pages to see some news about Warhawk. I'm hoping to here some news about these updates coming soon.

This may cause even more fragmentation (of course, I have all the booster packs so I don't have any issues joining rooms - we have had one problem though where we had a Blu-Clan only battle and we set the new maps and some folks who didn't have the expansions couldn't get in.)

No "official" small maps

- however, I just join ranked rooms with 4 vs 4 - problem solved.

Hope to see you in the game sometime soon.

I am always skeptical of joining player hosted 4v4 games because you never know which team the host is on. I have been booted from a few of those servers after I starting kicking butt. Does anyone know if you still get the points you earned even if you get booted from a server?

I dunno man, this is probably going to fragment the game even more.... now we have a hero mode and a collection mode in addition to two separate expansion packs....

And 50 additional points to each person on the winning team!? That's a ton! Ranking up won't be as hard or as rewarding any more....

So I just played this game for the first time earlier today. I have to say its rather frustrating. I spawn and the second I head out of a building I have a Warhawk killing me with a rocket or the electric thing. No matter where I spawn. Then if I DO SURVIVE for longer then 30 seconds I have no idea how to actually kill someone because I shot someone for a good minute... emptied all of my weapons into him including a rifle, a flamethrow, and a pistol and he kept just jumping around.

Ill figure it out but I have to say its rather frustrating.

Well I love the fact they keep refreshing the game and are doing this as a free update.

But team play will be more so. Just a different perspective of what "hard" and rewarding means.

You can setup your own game, password protect to keep private it or just do a local LAN game. If you have a second controller you can split-screen the game and "set-up" that person as target practice to get a feel for aiming, effort to kill, etc.

The game has been out a long time so you may be running into xp players as well. Even though I still suck .. the game is lots of fun when u get over the initial hump.

1.4 Sounds good! I kinda find it funny they had to add somethin to tell you wich way to take a flag. Though hopefully people will play better with that feature. Back to WH i go. I have 462hrs and counting.
