This also works well on Archipelago when someone has taken your Zone below. Floor it towards the cliff edge, and get out right as the jeep goes over (hit "square" at the last minute and you be standing on the cliff edge looking down). Hopefully, someone gets near it, it damages a tank guarding the zone or someone decides to get in the new "empty jeep".

Those things are great for running folks over. There is nothing funner than running over people - the only thing funnier is running over someone who is a couple of steps away from scoring with your flag.

Then, putting down a mine, grabbing their flag and taking off in your jeep.

Then, 5 seconds later seeing "Flag Taken/Flag Dropped" with your name and a mine next to that same guys name.

Sometimes, everything goes just like you planned. It's moments like those that just make you happy.

no i mean i used the mine warhawk and killed 7 enemies in a APC

I used a TOW missle at the middle bridge with the zone on it(Eucadia map) and that one TOW took out an APC with 5 inside, a tank with two inside, and some lone schmuk who happened to be running around the flag pole. I had to laugh pretty hard after that, 8 kills

It wasn't me on that bridge .. but I'd actually like an option to disable the TOW. Especially on large maps like the full Eucadia. It often takes away from all the skill and effort that went into getting a flag on a well balanced game. The game and getting the flag back would be a lot more exciting without someone just camping with a TOW. Even unbalanced games were your team has little air support would be winnable.

The latest patch makes the TOW spawn time longer on the large maps, which I am all for. In some games, a flag capture is impossible if your team isnt doing well in the air. 5 guys flying around with TOW missles will never let you capture a flag. I applaud the longer spawn time, but I don't think they should disable it.

What ever the new spawn time is for the TOW - it still isn't long enough. I still see it being used again and again. . . . sometimes by myself. . . . as you well now from yesterdays game.

I mean, come on - there was a Blu member on the enemy team and I had a TOW missle - what was I suppose to do?!

You must not be much of a flyer, I assume you stick to the ground game. I was the same way for probably my first 50 hours or so. Just join the next ranked clan game and I'll show you how to use a TOW missle when I pay Cymbol back

Ok. That explains it. Yeah, I'm not much of a flyer. I stick to the ground. I'll sometimes go in the air to get to a certain point faster, but other than that I get shot down right away. LOL

Probably will password it (usually, "blu").

I must say, I have some buddies just gettting this game and it is getting really hard to find fair and balanced games anymore. As I mentioned earlier, I seem to be joining games and spawning onto teams that are down flag caps by 9 to 0, etc. Or the other team has tons of great flyers and they just own the map and nobody can even get out to capture more zones. And many times I'm finding clans that have taken over a server and everything is totally one sided and people keep leaving.

What are the chances of one team getting all the great flyers?!

Maybe (actually, I saw it last night) people are switching teams when the other team starts to show signs of winning; or they are simply leaving the game. We started out even, our team started "losing" - after a while the other team started hammering us constantly, I looked at the teams - half our team had left or switched.

It's been like this often - and if it doesn't change I'm going to have a hard time convincing buddies that this game is fun. I'm thinking the 50 point system has really made people greedy and a bit more point oriented then just playing the game to have fun. I like my points, but I don't switch teams to get them.

I'll keep playing, but with team switches and team killers and heavily lopsided team skills (which happens amazingly often somehow) - the game has gotten just a bit frustrating lately. Maybe it's just me.

Besides, I've gotten 6,000 points towards my next rank in the last couple of weeks - only 14,000 more to go. . . . After my next rank, I'll probably stop trying for anymore rank and just join friends or Clans that I know for games.

Oh well, there is always the Blu-clan battles. Those are still a great time.

Two things I have yet to become proficient at in Warhawk - sniper rifles and flying. . . . . but I'm all about mines. The only thing more annoying than getting sniped is getting blown up by a mine - it sucks when you don't even get a chance to fight back. Of course, it's funny when you're the sniper or the miner. . . . I get a lot of laughs in the games I play. If you play in a game with me, chances are you'll find one of my mines - which isn't a good thing!

One of my favorite things to do is shoot the mines the person is placing. It's always funny seeing a mine kill pop up when you are using the sniper rifle. It also pisses that person off knowing you just killed them with their own mine.

That's not funny.

Luckily, that hasn't happened yet, but I have died several times placing a mine, only to have someone come around a corner, or a plane land - and get blown up along with them. . . . . one of the hazards of being a miner.
