Got the first 5-6 trophies yesterday

But shouldn't the trophies have been retroperpective? I don't like the idea to try everything again. Like Giant Killer or One in a Million-trophy.

I have no idea what retroperpective is...although i REALLY like that word

If you mean retroactive then there are 10 that are retro. 3 badge trophies, 3 medal trophies and 4 rank trophies. The two clan trophies are semi retroactive as you have to "activate" them.

The rest you have to do again.

Well, I said I would finish the day of the patch with about 10-15 trophies. I did WAY better then that haha. I currently have 24 of the 56 trophies. I havent touched the booster pack trophies as Im waiting for the 3 pack tomorrow so then I can try to get some of those also.

The way I see it, is that Ill be able to get all of the trophies except the Badge, Medal, and Rank ones (I already have Bandit Badge Trophy and Chief Sergeant Trophy). The Bade and Medal trophies will come in the next few months. The rank trophies....well lets just say I might be "bragging" about getting my Platinum Warhawk trophy in about a year and a half or so

An easy way to get a lot of the trophies is create a game, password it so know one can join and hit start on a second controller. split screen two player and you controller both players. easy!

It's the "Rumble Dome" map, so there are no Warhawks in the level. You have to climb up, and it's kind of a tricky jump.

Oh I didnt know that. But no Warhawks sounds like my kind of map lol.

In any event looks like Ill be dying a lot while climbing tomorrow.

That's very admirable - and I agree; however, there are some trophies (as I have said before) that I don't mind cheating on. We set up a room last night for trophies, I thought the initial intent was simply to battle each other and get trophies through gameplay, but it turned into staging things.

I had already earned several trophies before entering the room, and went ahead and "staged" certain trophies that I think are stupid (getting killed by a mine 5 times. ) - I'm not sure why I get rewarded for not paying attention to my surroundings, but I guess you have to give the noobs something for dying a lot.

So, my take on "cheating" - As I've said before, I won't cheat to get anything I haven't already done many, many times. All those people who simply set up a second controller and get all their trophies and are like all those people who were setting up rooms for points for rank - you can stage it all you want, but it will show in a real game what you "earned".

I have over 300 hours in this game with over 60,000 points (all earned the hard way), almost have my Commander rank and I am ranked 6,000th in the game (I was at 1,000, but had to deploy for 4 months to the desert). So, if I see some guy with a Commander rank and he has 20 hours in the game, I don't believe it, besides, it will show up on the battlefield. 99% of the time I am in the top 3 players in a game.

So, I personally have no issue getting a few easy ones - but I got plenty through regular gameplay last night. One thing I have to say, while we were doing some of the suicides ect. I must say, I was extremely bored. I just wanted to play. I doubt I'll be getting in a "trophy" room again. I would have rather been playing with my buddies instead of taking turns setting mines down (a rather tedious process).

Anyway, got a lot of trophies last night, most without trying. I don't think it will be long before I have most of them - but needing the general rank is really extreme for the points needed. But, I love the game, so I'll keep playing - who knows, maybe by they time the make a Warhawk 2, I'll be a General in Warhawk 1.

By the way, I got a few with the booster packs - Giant Killer (always fun) and Porcupine (another one that's great when you can do it in a battle. Keeps those pesky Warhawks at bay).

I got home from ATL late last night but decided to download the warhawk patch while I took a shower. Couldn't help but play a game after that I got four retroactive trophies: Enlistee, Bandit award, Recognition of Merit, and Chief Seargent.

I played one game after that and got a bunch more trophies: Giant Killer, reckless pilot, vengence, anit-camper, invincible, and remote pilot. Then I completed the warhawk training for a trophy as well. I was so excited, it was like a brand new game!!!

So many people have picked the game up again, I usually have 350-450 games at a time, last night there was over 900 games in my server list I need to download the new map, but I also have Disgaea 3 sitting here and I haven't played it yet! I need to somehow figure out how to play both at the same time!

You are right on...I've had warhawk since it came out and have not played it much at all due to my addiction to CoD4 but lately I've been not as interested in CoD4, once you get to gold cross 55 and the points and XP really don't mean much, the game withers fast...so I downloaded the patch and both of the booster packs and spent all night playing it for the first time in like 8 months, and I really enjoyed it, and earned atleast 7 trophies during game play, I am almost to level 4 gamer now Woot! of course I will be playing the SOCOM beta starting next week, so hopfully I can juggle the two games....

I got most of those as well (except anti-camper). I got some that I don't even know what I did to get - hit list and some others. Got my porcupine trophy - that's always fun. Same thing with Giant Killer - wasn't expecting it when I detroyed the dropship, but it was a cool surprise. And I got the trophy for driving an APC to a flag area (enemy base) and had one person spawn right as I got blown up, but I got the trophy.

You're right, it is like a new game and it's fun when you get a trophy and you don't even expect it. Most of the trophies will be got just by playing the game.

Looking forward to the new map tonight. Can't wait to go exploring and try out my jetpack.

Also, I like my new knife - really cool. Those guys who got the tomahawks must really like those. It was really cool of Sony and the developers to do that.

Yeah, there's a bit of satisfaction when you're facing off with another knifer and you see they have the original and you're wielding your beefier ham slicer. I can't imagine how cool it must be to have that gargantuan knife (wonder if the reach was extended? hmm?). I hope to see more of these kinds of game enhancements in the future. Special customized weaponry for various tournaments would be a great way to boost participation.

It sucks... not only am I working but I have practice tonight so I will only be able to start downloading the pack before running to practice... I'll only get an hour or so to try it out

Ah well, the weekend is upon us.

that's actually the only thing i like about the 360. is you can get a bunch w/o trying. but w/ the PSN trophies i often find myself ripping out my hair trying for some of these trophies!!

Cymbol youll be proud to hear that I think Im officially going to become a miner lol.

I just played a game where I decided to try it out and have some fun. It was on the destroyed capitol level. We took over one of the sides that has one of the mine spawn points on it. It was CTF by the way lol.

So anyways I grabbed the mines, threw one on my plane and went over to their side. Slapped the other 3 mines on a jeep and two other planes and left my plane there and went to go try to take the flag. Less then 15 seconds later I see my name with the mine picture for killing someone else and I got the biggest smile ive had since I started playing this game. Haha.

So I take the flag and get killed. I respawn myself and right when I pick up a new set of mines I get 2 more kills haha. So I basically repeated the process (got the flag back a couple of times also) throughout the game... I went in late so there was only about 20 minutes left in the game when I got in.

I ended up with 52 points. At least 50 of them combat points(I got the exemplary combat medal "500 total kills 50 combat pts IAR) and I would say only 6 of those were kills that WERENT from mines haha.

There were a few times that I would get killed and I would wait to respawn because I wanted to watch the guy that just killed me get into a vehicle or aircraft that I mined. And more often then not...he did and BOOM!


Hahahahaha......sooooooo I just need to learn all the mine spawn locations now haha.

On a sidenote Im ready for the booster pack today. Im getting the 3 pack and am excited about the new stuff to play with and maps. Plus I can work on the other trophies. Which are "worth more" since there are only 4 per pack so they made them all silver and gold lol.

I still need Hattrick, Cowboy, Lone Wolf, and like 3 of the Warhawk ones.

Any tips on how to actually HIT another aircraft with a TOW missile? I just keep either completely missing and running out of fuel or I just get blown out of the sky while Im directing it lol.

Oh also... I finally figured out the little squares under the Missile locked warning are how many missiles are locked on you lol. Although I counted 7 once and used chaff and it took care of 6 of them but I didnt get the trophy for it. Not sure why not.

Can anyone help, First off my Warhawk is imported from America playing on an American PS3 in the UK. I downloaded all 3 expansion packs today from the UK store and the PS3 installed them. I fired up the game and cant get into any of the new maps. there is nothing in the download option in the game. Am I doing something wrong or something.

If anything I think that would speak volumes more as far as the prestige in earning the trophies on PS3 vs 360. Sure, you got a lot of trophies on 360, but you didn't have to do much in comparison to having to work harder to earn them on PS3.

Find a warhawk that is hovering attacking a zone, etc... fire your TOW at them.. hold R2 to accelerate and when you are in close proximity hit L1 to detonate... if you're close enough it will go boom! this type of maneuver is my favorite because it's designed as an Air to Surface weapon... kinda like insult to injury
