Note to self: Um, when you play on the expert servers, friendly fire is on.

Okay, I haven't played in months and months, but I felt like crap when I randomly shot a TOW into a crowd and wiped out my own guys. Oh well, at least I got 1 enemy.

Last night I was constantly on crappy teams. Guys on the other side had like 40-50 kills because they had about 11 planes to our 3. No fun.

However, I did cap my first flag since coming back. It was on the big map and I went coast to coast (non-jet pack). Avoided some Warhawks with my impressive jeep driving and off I went.

Got 2 more trophies too.

Now I just need to remember to take my finger off the thrust button when I have a jet pack on. I end up in outer space just waiting to die.

Finished off my booster pack trophies today. It was rather funny to boost a warhawk right into someone on a jetpack and hear that "THUD" lmfao. Then to make it even better I get that lovely trophy acquired "ding" haha.

Only have about 11 trophies left that I CAN get. That leaves the rank/badges/medal trophies for me to acquire in the next YEAR+ haha.

I didn't know you touched the ground - and driving?! Didn't know you drove anything that didn't have wings.

I got my "Hat Trick" trophy this weekend in our Clan Battle - nothing like getting three flag caps in a game with/against your buddies.

Whens the next set clan battle? I was out of town this past weekend.

Could you set one up maybe for tonight or tomorrow? Doesnt have to be anything big.... like an 8x8 or whatever.

Any Clans out there that want to set up a Clan battle so we can all get our "Rivalry" trophy?

Prefer new clans, with people who have owned the game less than a week or so. . .

Seriously, if anyone has a Clan and wants to set up a battle, let me know and we'll arrange it.

No, that one was an accident. I wasn't trying to get it. I was doing the "Get the mine on the dome" trophy with some other Blu-Clan folks. I guess they set it up as a Death Match or Team Death Match, don't remember. While we were busy trying to get the trophy we would kill each other, usually just being funny. I got the mine on the dome and got that trophy, and when the session ended it said, "Cowboy" Trophy. (I joined late into their session and didn't even think about it). When I told them I had just got it, they were as surprised as I was. None of us thought about it.

However, I was thinking about my strategy before accidently getting it. I was going to just take over zones and leave mines. Taking over zones goes towards your team points which go towards your total points. Mines go towards Combat.

A lot of people don't think about taking over zones in Team Death Match because your team only gets points for kills, however, it is stategic to get the zones to control the planes. You personally get the points for zones.

So, take over zones, get points, if a plane is coming - go jump in a rafter and hide (you can't die and get the trophy). Let them take over the zone and fly away, then jump down and take the zone back over. Leave mines on the zone for kill points. I almost got this trophy the other day doing this, and I only thought about it when the game ended, I was one point away from being the top player.

You won't believe this, but . . .

In the last game I played last night, I got in a tank and found a nice spot under the trees on a hill.

I stayed in that tank for about 15 minutes picking people off. After about 13 kills or so, I finally got nailed by a Warhawk.

But, I found another tank, went back to the spot and kept watch.

I've been getting trophies by just playing. I need to go check out the reqs and perhaps play for some---like the one where you run over someone in a jeep and then use the .50 cal to kill someone else.

I kept trying to tell people before the trophies came out that most of them you'de get through normal gameplay (if you weren't simply a horrible player). Even things like "One in a million" will just happen if you play often enough. I can't count how many times I've done that one.

Just like many of the ribbons. People always ask how to get Warhawk Recruiting, I have over a hundred of those (and I almost never get in a Warhawk). Just happens as you play.

But yes, some of these you have to stage. "Get killed by a mine 5 times in a game" - What a stupid trophy. I just staged that one, same thing with some of the suicide trophies.

But when I first started the game when trophies hit, they just kept coming one after another, half the times I didn't even know what I did to earn it.

They really aren't that hard if you play often enough. For the "Hat Trick" trophy, I suggest smaller teams like 4X4. I got six flag caps in a game last night (even had a couple of Blu-Clan people who joined happened to be on the other team. ). I was flying around in a jetpack dropping mines from above. Hehe. What fun!!!

Yeah, that 1 in 1,000,000 trophy took me all of 6 minutes to earn when I first came back.

Hitting stupid pilots with a tank is never that tough. Think 20% of my kills yesterday were tank to Warhawk shots.

Sure wish that trophy for driving the flag carrier was in earlier. I've done that many, many times.

I might play in a bit. Kind of a down day for me.

Cymbol your strategy for Cowboy works to perfection. EXCEPT when I get screwed lol.

I had it working perfectly in Destroyed capital. I was by far the highest points in the game up until about the 3/4 way then a guy started gaining on me. He was 2 kills and 8 deaths too so i think he just started going zone to zone.

I didnt want to stray too far (i had already claimed and reclaimed 6 of the 9 zones). I had about 6 mine kills during this as well.

I had 32 points when the score limit of 50 was reached i was looking at the points screen and the guy who was gaining on me had 29.

It goes to the "review" screen and it was HIS name that popped up for top player at 33 points. So apparently he captured a blue zone back to red at the LAST possible second.

Sucks cause I had 6 kills, 32 points total and ZERO deaths. Cowboy was going to be mine and legitimately. Bah!

I think destroyed capital is one of the better maps to try for it though since the zones are for the most part segregated etc.

Also Im sure you already realize this but equip the knife when you are laying mines so that they wont come and hunt you down

Bah...gonna go try for it again...so annoyed at that though.

Yeah, like I said, I almost got it last night "legitimately" without even planning too. The only reason I didn't was some other guy had one point more than I did - but hey, I spawned into the game with 10 minutes left, so what'd you expect?

The Death Match trophy is the one I think will be almost impossible.

Glad the strategy is working for you - it's still going to be tough, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Yes, that's what I meant by "hiding" in the rafters. Not only getting in the rafters, but equiping the knife. You have to really pay attention to your map. If you see a Warhawk coming - go hide and equip your knife. I ALWAYS, have my knife equipped unless I'm actively using another weapon. When I spawn, I have my knife equipped before I even hit the ground (keeps those TOW missile happy pilots from spotting me for the easy kill).

No, but I do have a buddy who is a Clan Leader - problem is, their Clan actually practices etc. and to get the trophy, I believe you need to win. We have some good players in our Clan and people who are masters at certain skills (sniping, flying, mining) but we rarely/never practice as a team. It would be a tough battle to win.

I'll post the request again tomorrow if I don't get a response in this thread.

Woot just picked the Cowboy trophy and the game right after that I capped 3 flags for Hattrick! Gotta love the REALLY small CTF maps

As long as they are ranked rookie servers count. Stay in the Blue ones and you should be fine.

Basically any of the severs with the trophy icon to the left that DOESNT have an X through it should be ranked and good for everything.

That's where the points are at - even though they are smaller, they are usually very fast paced, and every team member is needed - ALOT of action happens during these games, which usually lends itself well towards ALOT of points. Especially if your part of (and sometimes the reason for) the winning team.

I made a post on here about starting a new clan, to get the clan-related trophies, and I think we are up to 4 people so far. Ideally, if we could get a few more people out there want to join, we can try to arrange the clan battle, and hopefully get in enough rounds so that each team gets their win.

Also, for those unfamiliar with my post a few pages ago, I'm trying to temporarily get a group of 10 people together, so that we can take turn making/joining clans, so each of us can get the clan leader trophy, whatever it is called. If you're interested, either post here, PM me, or send a message to 'toefer' on PSN.

Im fine with playing a set amount of rounds, but I dont want to "throw" a match, and I dont want a match thrown for us. If we play 5 and win all 5 then so be it. If we lose all 5 then so be it. If it splits 3-2 etc then great.

But Im down for that. We could just do a 4x4 one.

Yes, we don't need the match thrown. Don't worry, even if you all beat us, we'll be sure to make it as painful as possible.

If we don't hear something back by the end of the week, there is a way to get this with only our own clan, although it would be a bit of a headache adminstratively.
