I picked it up but was disapointed in some of the control choices.
You can turn southpaw on,l stick=freelook while r stick=move, but the action buttons are then on the wrong side of the controller.

If you move with the left stick imagine needing to use the d-pad as your action buttons you'd need to strech your right hand over your left to use them.

That's what happens when developers don't put the action buttons on the d-pad...i have to strech my left hand over my right to acess the action buttons
which in essance cripples the controlls.

RFOM did it right by allowing everyone full custimization...so i can put ^,x,o
and square on the d-pad and the d-pad on the face buttons.

I'd really apriciate an update allowing FULL CUSTIMIZATION of the sixaxis
so i can play as i need to...halfway there isn't good enough.

Just remember half of default is just as wortless as half southpaw.

I don't know about you but i'm no contorcinist which is what you really have to be criss-crossing hands in an online firefight.

P.S.-With the new l2 / r2 "pulling " like a gun trigger i find it strange that weapons are usuially
on l1 / r1-i'd flip hover and weapons because it's more naturial...buttons shaped like triggers SHOULD
be used as triggers.

Everyone,

As you all know, we have been diligently working on the stats issue. It totally sucks that your stats aren't posting and we take it very, very seriously.

So...some of you may have already noticed that we are bringing the entire system down right now to deploy a server-side patch for out stats database in an attempt to resolve the errors when games post stats. We have performed very thorough internal testing but, as will be the case with any large online game, the ultimate test is to get a huge player base to smash the hell out of it.

I think it’s fair to say that if this update doesn't resolve the stats issue...you will all let us know! :-P

This update is rolling out RIGHT NOW...servers will be brought off-line, from 4:15pm PDT and will be down until 6:15pm PDT.

Many apologies for this incredibly late notice but we are absolutely committed to making sure you all have great service, and playing Warhawk this weekend with stats fixed has been our #1 priority!!!

I will post again once we have the system back up and running.

Any of you who were playing when we "pulled the trigger" were probably disconnected -- We had to bring it all down...not just you guys here in the states but ALL our players!

As far as what your stats will be...you will stay at what you have currently. This won't ressurrect stats you lost, but *should* allow you to earn new stats.

You will *NOT* have your stats wiped!!!

This change is to the stats database ONLY...we are still agressively looking at other issues and will update all of you as we have more info.

The servers are now restarted.

We will be monitoring the forums to see if you guys notice any stats issues. Please note that stats that you earn are not logged instantaneously with the DB...they could take several minutes to comit. So if you play a game, earn a rare medal and then quickly jump into your stats, you may not see the award right away.

Thank you all for posting your comments...especially the long collections of issues and requests. We appreciate all of the feedback...

I cannot believe stats is this hard an issue.. it is frustrating to know all those good games, medals andbadges I earned do not count.. really starting to not like this aspect of the game.. you would think this would be obvious in beta testing.. and not relese an unfinished or not working product.. espically an online only game.. that does not work online correctley..

If you guys have seen my rants on the playstation forums (same username), you know how frustrated I am with this title.

Today was my last straw on complacency with the bugs... I went crazy on the playstation forums dissing the game.

My stats still don't show up... I finally had the luck of some unknown force (I should have bought a lottery ticket up in Idaho today I think) and took the top spot in a dogfight game with over 50 bonus points from the longest list of medals I have ever seen in my life. I was totally overwhelmed at how the game turned out. Then, as if god itself decided I was going to hell, I look at my profile and _nothing_ is there. Zip. Zero. Nada. NOTHING.

I still didn't panic; however, I shut off the PS3. Ate lunch... wandered around aimlessly. Posted here in other threads. Called people names and generally vented my frustration on what we all commonly refer to as 'the world'.

I go up, turn on the PS3, fire up Warhawk and low and behold... Nothing. Still no stats. Hours later.

The single greatest disappointment in a game for me yet. Probably the worst game release in the history of console games with all it's bugs and unplayability. They seriously need to find a way to compensate people who purchased this game for 'hanging in there'. New content in the Warhawk store should be FREE for the next three years to everyone who's account started during this debugging time.

You're being wayyyyyy overdramatic. Ghostbusters for the NES holds that title still as the worst game on a console.

You can still play warhawk. It's just not updating your stats. Cosnidering there's more unranked servers than ranked servers it's not the absolute worst problem in the world.

I'm not calling it the 'worst game' but rather the worst quality. The gameplay is grand in Warhawk and if all the stability issues with servers (talking SCEA servers, not 'white' home ones as they are uncontrollable), freezing issues and other connectivity issues as well as the bugs with stats and the like were taken care of it could be a damn fine franchise.

It was released too soon. It needed more testing and larger scale testing as is now apparent. Many beta folks are angry because many of the issues were brought out in beta but not fixed prior to release. This means they released a _known_ buggy product. Not good juju. It's the buggiest release I have ever seen in a console game. Hands down.
