I played for about an hour and a half last night and won all but one of the games I played. I got the dead-eye trophy too Some poor schmuck was trying to use the binoculars from one of the islands and sniped him from the main island in the middle! I also got a medal in the last round, Warhawk Executive Award.

No really, I feel your pain. Since May, (when I returned from a deployment) I was almost neck and neck for wins vs. lossed (both in the 400's), with wins slightly ahead. For a medal, I needed 500 wins as part of the criteria.

4 MONTHS LATER!!!!

I have over 800 losses and JUST passed the 500 wins criteria!!! Spawning to bad teams has gone from bad luck to just total insanity. It's impossible to have luck that bad. Like I've said, 99% of the time I'm in the top 3, so I feel I'm doing my part, but I've simply learned not to stay in rooms that are totally lopsided, and not to stay in rooms I spawn in where they've already taken every single base.

Of course, this leads to a new frustration - finding a fair and balanced room. Took me 2 hours the other night. But then I have other nights were I find balanced games and have a great time.

It wasn't always like this. The team switching and people looking for the easy 50 pt win have really upset the balance of the game.

That's why it's just more fun playing with your own Clan. Right now, we're looking at another Blu-Clan get together around the 20th of Sep.

I found a few fair games tonight. And I had fun when I played those games. See, I had fun playing Warhawk tonight - so, I keep playing. Riddle solved.

I would, I'm not complaining on my own behalf. I consider myself to be an intermediate player. But last night my cousin got the game and was playing for the first time and we were trying to be on the same team and he was learning how to play and we just wanted to be entertained in a fair match. After 2 hours we didn't get a single one and he already wants to turn around and sell the game.

Start your own server and make it unranked, those usually don't attract some of the allstar point-*****s that some of the blue Sony servers do. You cousin should get a better feel in one of those servers.

Yeah thanks for the tip. We'll probably have to do that tonight. We actually weren't even on the official servers last night; just the Player Ranked ones because I have like 3,200 points and he obviously just started and it wouldn't let him on the Official blue servers. And even in the player matches it was ridiculous with people just camping and point whoring.

I've been trying desperately to get into this game lately for some extra trophies but I just can't.

I'm normally pretty good at shooters and the like; however, this game just blows for me.

I think I figured it out the other day... Every other game in the world the screen moves when you move your sights around (keeping the targeting reticule in the center). In Warhawk, for some stupid reason, the reticule moves all over and the screen just sits there.

I hate that.

I do far better in the plane than on the ground; however. Not sure why that is but I do use 'Pro' flight mode whatever that means.

I personally like to stay in lopsided rooms it makes me work that much harder.. As I scream at my tv screen which words like WHERE IS MY TEAM...

Going off to fly lto never land or making snow angels..

Pro flight mode disables auto maneuvers and prevents the warhawk from autoleveling, and gives you full control of the plane.

Have you tried setting your character to having 100% auto-aim? This makes a big difference for me. My character moves exactly has I think it should as I move the sticks. Without out it, it seems to "float" ever so slightly and be just a tad out of sync.

If you've got it set to 100% auto-aim - then I got nothing.

I have never tried that out - but people say it works. Are you making sure you're on different teams?

Pro-flight made it easier for me to shake missles, actually.

Pro-Flight doesn't necessarily mean you are using six-axis.. that is a separate option. The accelerometer in the controller is wayyy to sensitive for me to get used to and I over-correct every single time. If only I could get a joystick sidewinder to use while I'm flying.. man... I'd be king!

I don't like using pro flight. I use the regular mode. I do a very good job of dodging missles using the air brake and twisting and turning in the air. Lately the only time I've gotten blown up is when I wasn't flying but hovering cause it doesn't give me enough time to fly out and get speed and manuever.

Pro-flight does not use six-axis, it can be used in conjunction with six-axis but is not required.

Warhawk can be such a frustrating game. One night it is an awesome, fun time that I could spend hours on. Other nights (like tonight) every game I join I'm on a team that's doing so bad it is not fun at all and just makes me not want to play. It really needs a better team balance system to make it a more consistent experience.

You're correct. . . . but the "good" nights keep me coming back for more.
