I'm Warhawk retarded. Still struggling with the Warhawk Recruiter ribbon for my Seargent promotion. I'm thinking if I can find one of those bombs that stays in place and put it right near an enemy vehicle on their base, that that would take care of both the vehicle and ground troop kill, and then I can play weisel for remainder of the 4 minutes. LOL.

Besides this stupid ribbon I'm actually doing... so-so.

Yeah, it's getting to be a bit depressing having to come home every day and look at that beautiful Warhawk case, and my lovely PS3 sitting there neglected... If they were my kids they'd hate me. Wait a minute... They are my kids... They hate me.

How is GRAW? The last game that's someone like it (I think) that I played was R6: Vegas (on 360).

Does it have an online community like Warhawk or do you need to hook up with friends?

I like it better then warhawk. You have to add everyone to a friends list. The graphics are one of the best so far.

Is there a way to get a 1st-person perspective on the rocket launcher? I can't figure out any way to zoom with it... all I can use it for is to lock on the Warhawks. I see the laser sight beams all the time, which I'm pretty sure come from zooming with the rocket launcher.
The two increments on the sniper rifle are as far as it goes. You can use the rocket launcher to lock onto warhawks and also tanks, I also think they can lock on to the missile installations but am not sure. The laser beams that you see are actually from the binoculars which are used to call in an "air-strike" for the target you have painted. Hope this helps

If you see a pretty green light coming your way, you have two choices:

1. Locate the source and kill it within 1-2 seconds

2. RUN!

The Sniper rifle has 2 zooms only. I've hit people pretty far away. A third would mean sitting at your base on a large map and nailing people at their base (oh the fun).

On smaller maps you can snipe all or most of the way.

And let me say right now that showing the sniper when you've been sniped is extremely unrealistic and very poor game design. It sucks having to relocate and risk detection all the time.

But it's oh so fun to snipe someone just standing around minding his business.

This game is all about the balance. Not showing that would really give the sniper an unfair advantage...

I agree...especially when your in amongst trees etc..may not be realistic but it makes the game more fun/playable.

Kind of like real life.

I know asking for reality is kind of dumb in a game, but thought I'd gripe about it.

Guess I'm too much of a stealth fan. I could spend 20 minutes setting up and waiting for that one perfect shot--if it would make a difference.

I know exactly what you mean. Ive definitely sat in one place for a while, waiting for 'that shot'. I also found myself a few nice, althou prolly not unknown spots to snipe from.

There are more ranked servers available now, even though some of them are for tiny map areas. Sadly I had a brilliant run of points and achievements on Saturday but none of it was saved to my profile. Thankfully last nights points were saved and updated on my profile, but to "lose" over 100 points and a load of badges and ribbons...grrrrr. But it's clear to see that work is being carried out on perfecting the network side of things.

I love this game and reckon the balance is just right. An improvement for me though would be the ability to see where my buddies are and join them if there is space on the server they are on. I can't believe I have to prearrange this over the phone or text! Unless I'm missing something?

I love the sniper gun, 3 shots should take out a hovering Warhawk and a tip from the website is that if your crouch while using a rifle your aim is better resulting in more damage more quickly. Also, throw grenades at the ground near an opponent, not at them. Flame throwers can be used to destroy tanks and a combination of rocket launcher then grenade then rocket launcher will take out a tank very quickly too; i.e. while the rocket launcher is reloading throw a grenade.

Just go to Community and select 'Buddies'. You can see everyone on your "friends" list who has Warhawk. It shows who is online and what room they are in. Select their name, and hit, "Join Game". Unless the room they are in is full, you'll join the room.

Also, you can always "Create" your own room, and them have them join you there.

Good tips, thanks. I have terrible aim with the sniper - unless someone is standing still for a good 10 seconds, I can't hit them. Forget about hitting a Warhawk. Unless there is some kind of "lock on" for sniping. Guess I'll have to keep practicing. Some people are amazing at using the sniper rifle.
