LOL Yeah. I've been excited about playing with CYMBOL (it's only happened once so far) but I've been too focused on other games. And since I was away from Warhawk so long I found my skills took a nose dive.

Yeah, I think when you jumped in it was late at night (and my mic wasn't on) and the wife was wanting my attention.

Get those skills back up and get in the game!

Patch v1.1 Update -- November 1st, 2:10 pm MST, 2007 [ NEW ]

FINALLY! -- and Yes...I realize this was a loooong time coming :-P

We are going to be globally deploying the v1.1 during an extended maintenance window Friday, November 2nd between 5am and 9am Pacific.

To recap, here are the items addressed by the patch:

Server-side
* Stat database stability improvements
* Improved server stability
* Max Clan limit changed from 32 to 64
* Viral Rank-up bug fixed and correct for players that were accidentally ranked up.
* “Time-in-Vehicle” Stats fixed so certain awards can now be granted properly.

Client-side (this is the one that you will actually download to your PS3)
* Stat connection, fetch/post fixes
* Significantly improved client connection stability
* Quad “????” Ping display bug fixed.
* Added support for Player-Ranked Servers.
* Game synchronization fixes due to fluctuating network conditions (packet-drop).
* Crash fixes for end of game and split screen.

A couple of things that I want to point out. Some of you were able to download the v1.1 patch before it was "officially" ready. Since this occurred without the server-side updates to compliment it, not all of the fixes would have functioned. Specifically the viral-rank-up fix and the time-in-vehicle stat fix. Once we bring the system back online Friday, 9am Pacific, these fixes will be functional.

Also, once we deploy the patch, when you boot Warhawk, you will be prompted by the XMB to download the v1.1 patch. This is a fast download so it's not a time killer. Once the XMB has pulled the patch down, Warhawk will boot back up and be happy! You will also notice a "v1.1" in the lower right corner of the screen.

So...we'll be monitoring the roll-out tomorrow and this weekend so please check the forums for any updates We'll also be updating the announcements text today as well.

I would also like to extend a heart-felt "Welcome Back!" to our talented QA, SCERT and PDIT teams in San Diego. I've said it before and I'll say it again, they are the ones "behind the curtain" making a lot of this happen and its great to have them back!

I play normal way, the sixaxix is really hard to use.

I don't use SixAxis.

Wish they'd add a couple servers that are mic required. I'm getting tired of being on teams where no one talks. One minute you're moving forward, the next you watch your flag parade by.

Normal - I tried Sixaxis and didn't care for it.

In fact, every game I've tried with the Sixaxis option - I have always ended up using the regular controls.

Maybe I'm just getting old and am stuck in my ways.

1.1 patch is happening tomorrow!!!! between 5am and 9am EST.

Although I will get demoted to Wingman from Air Marshall (hopefully) I look forward to the chance to earn my way back up.

If there is room in the clan after they increase the size please allow me to join.

Last night was great - I used a Warhawk and kept grabbing mines and places them along routes, near weapons, zone flags, etc. I kept seeing my name pop up with mine kills . . . about 4 games later in a new game start - the server switched some players to keep the teams even - some guy came over the mic, "Hey Cymbol! You got a mic?" (It was actually on and working). I said, "Yeah, this is Cymbol, what's up?" He said, "Dude, if I find you I'm going to kill you! I'm sick of your mines!"

I actually thought he might try and teamkill me, but when we got near each other, we took over a zone together and he went on his way without saying anything.

Note to self: Blowing people up every few seconds pisses them off.

Yeah, I'm a brigadier General - I will be sad to lose my customizations.

The hard part for me will be earning the Warhawk requirements - I am horrible in the air.

If not, just add people to your friends list. I several people on here in my friends list and I join their game that way. Works just as well - they just don't have the 'BLU' designator infront of their name - which would be nice - but hardly necessary.

LMAO... I think you mean blowing up the same person every few seconds pisses them off.

I remember when I first started playing I repeatedly kept dieing from mines and I couldn't figure it out. I didn't even know that mines existed

but they soon became my favorite weapon in the game.
