UPDATE: It appears the F-15 Clan may not be able to make it do to the clan leader's internet connection having issues (which makes it hard to coordinate with clan-members). He is hoping to get it fixed soon, but we may end up taking a rain check on the clan - battle, HOWEVER - Blu-Clan members will still be meeting up for some fun on Sunday. I have also expressed to the F-15 clan that they are still welcome to show up, if the issues are resolved in time.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

I tried doing a TDM dogfight game to get my ribbon for rank advancement. I got so frustrated. Four kills, need one more then BOOM, game over. I quit.

Anyone else growing tired of getting on teams (CTF or zones) where no one uses a mic?

Yeah, people seem to fall mainly into 3 categories for mics:
1. They don't use them.
2. They use them and try to direct everyone and spend the entire time telling everyone how stupid they are.
3. They sit around swearing for no good reason, or seem to press the mic button every time they swear.

It's very rare to have people be coordinated.

I've been having issues with my mic ever since the PS3 2.0 update. I tried several times to turn it on and each time it froze my PS3. I've used it once and it worked fine - today, I couldn't get it to work. I really hope it connects ok tomorrow. It would be a shame not to be able to say howdy to everyone.

If I don't hear much, I'll try to direct people. I won't call people names though, but I've heard enough of that.

What makes me leave a team quick is when the other team has 2 caps, has our flag halfway to their base, and I see 60%+ of the team still sitting in our base.

That tells me that most of the team is either playing CTF for the first time or just can't think too well.

I don't mind losing, but at least put in an effort.

I hate the name callers. I'd just leave. Why waste the energy?

Last night two guys were talking about how stupid the team was. I pointed out that I just took 3 bases and was beating down people at one of them by myself (we had only 1 previous to my work). And then I asked what exactly they were doing. Mirror mirror on the wall . . .

Oh and neither of these brilliant players could get in a Warhawk or figure out that 0 Warhawks for us and 6 for them = air superiority and an easy time.

Sometimes it can be so hard just to have fun.

I'm actually more of a defensive player. I'm rarely the one going for the flag again and again. I'm taking over bases, setting mines, looking on my map for people sneaking around.

The last game I played in the badlands the other team had taken all the zones, and kept spawning right next to our flag. I was one of the only people trying to capture the next nearest zone, while some dude trying to get their flag was yelling at everyone. He was too busy trying to get the flag to realize the other team was spawing again and again right next to our base and just killing our team. Guess he assumed he was the only one trying to win.

However, sometimes, your team is just bad - or, the other team just has a bunch of really good players. 5 REALLY good players on the other team, who know who to snipe and use warhawks, can be certain doom.

Unfortunately, I'm still working on my sniping and warhawk skills.

my goal in life would is to be a great snipper but its really hard... Oh well its still fun runnin head first into someone while using the snipper rifle to kill them in one hit

The team needs defensive players. My point was that when the other team has 2 caps and the flag, there's no more defense. They score, they win.

So, at that point, everyone should try to get the flag back.

If I notice my team's defense sucks, I'll stay back since I can play D very well.

And yes, having the base next to your flag is mandatory.

My favorite thing is to snipe some guy thinking he's being all clever by finding a high point using a Warhawk. He's got his sniper rifle or binocs ready to go and BAM.

I know what you mean. I think I get one shot in six. I'm horrible. Sniping and warhawk skills will vastly improve your game. I'm working on it.

When I grow up, I want to be like Copywriter and Daynutz! (A couple of sniping animals.)

And, of course, by being defensive, I mean being "actively" defensive. That's the big difference.

By the way, if I stop playing for about 15 minutes today, that means the wife got home with the Thanksgiving groceries and wants my help. I would make her do it all herself, but then, I wouldn't get fed.

Good game today guys. Too bad the F-15 clan couldn't make it. Killing your clan mates just isn't quite as fun.

Copywriter killed me many times after we joined Colorado's room. Him and Jafo make a good team.

Unfortunately, after everyone left, I became disconnected from Colorado's server, and then the wife walked in and said, "You done?" Aw shucks, I was hoping to slip into another game without her realizing you all had left for the day.

Anyway, good seeing you all.
