I wouldn't rely on IGN's release dates list, the 28th isn't even a Thursday.

IGN always guesses on release dates. But I'm really hoping its out by Dec 13th. Just in time for the company LAN party!!!

Another one..this map is HUGE from the looks of it..I wonder if they are holding any surprises back..like 64-player that was rumoured to be working during the intial beta period.... but not stable or optimized enough to make the cut..

Or if the dropships are considered to be enough of an answer..

I have to wait until X-mas before I can open my PS3. I did however hear alot of good things about Warhawk, so I bought it in advance. I keep seeing these awesome videos for Omega Dawn though. Will I be able to download this expansion even though I bought the regular version in store?

it dont matter if you have the disk or the downloaded copy of Warhawk but the expansion is gonna cost $8

Yes you will... well I assume so. I have Motorstorm but the upgrades load from the hard drive. I have the downloaded Warhawk, its the same as the Blu-ray version except the bluray version has a few HD trailers on the disc too.

I've just been eyeing up these videos! WOW!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on that dropship! I will allow tanks and jeeps to reach places you couldn't use them before (ie: around the bases in the "spire shut in" level). Should make CTF more interesting!

The blu-ray version also allows you to set up for LAN parties using the one copy.

Looks great. I'm not interested in 64-player games.

32 players already has too many for the small maps. Can you imagine adding 16 more players per team? haahaha

I'd love to play an 8-player game on Omega Dawn.

Anybody else play this with 5.1 Surround Sound on? That's the only way I play (I have my PS3 hooked up through optical output).

The other night I switched it to HDMI for sound *just* through the T.V. (so it would be a bit quieter) - not the same at all.

The surround sound on this game is great. I don't know how many times I've heard a knife slashing coming out of my rear speakers and turned around to find some guy coming at me, wildly swinging his knife - until my grenade sends him flying into the air.

If you don't play this game through a decent 5.1 set-up - your missing half the game.

Agreed...

I do like to play a little music from time to time but you do miss out on the various warnings of an approaching knife swinger, or the nearby land mine. They should incorporate some sort of spidey-sense into the game and when you are close to danger you have waves coming out of your head like the comic
