I did.

It's slow as you know what. The side guns are very nice.

And I even got TKed by someone else in a dropship.

And that was all in the few minutes I played this afternoon.

Sweet! I haven't had a chance to get in the dropship yet, but the new map is awesome.

Great map and taking down the dropship is not easy. Love the booster pack.

My only issue is that for those of us who bought the blu ray version get shafted in that it can only be used on the account that it was downloaded for. The reason I bought the BD version was so that other people could play on my PS3 using their accounts, and with the booster pack thats not possible (at least using the dropship and new map). Oh well, their loss I guess.

That is interesting as it is not what Dylan implied in the faq.

If you purchased a Blu-ray version of Warhawk then *any* account can play just like you’ve always been able to. If you purchased Warhawk from the PlayStation Store, then you already know that you are required to use the account that purchased the game.

My only real complaint thus far is the fact that the ranked servers don't have Omega level. I mean come on. At least have some of them with the new level.

I was playing on a player-hosted game and the host got pissed and kicked our whole team. Nice.

I did play one new map in a small game. It had a couple levels and the flags were on the ground. While it was really close corridors, I found it enjoyable.

Interesting. I've been trying to get it to work on the other accounts, but its not. Every time I log in using another account it keeps asking me to download the booster pack.

Edit: I tried again, and this time when I loaded up Warhawk it had the little symbol on the bottom left corner of the main menu screen and I was able to load up the new map and dropship and such on other accounts. I have no idea why it didn't work a couple of hours ago when I first tried.

Yeah, I get that too. I get it with ground weapons and the flag too. I can run through the flag and start running back towards my own base, after a few hundred yards the flag suddenly catches up with me. Sometimes I'll try and collect a weapon only to have it disapear but I don't get the weapon. What is actually happening is my PS3 (through a crappy virginmedia broadband connection) is lagging behind the server, so I actually HAVE the flag but it take a while for the server to actually mention it to my PS3. The weapons I'm trying to get have already been collected by someone else, or I just have tot wait until the server reports that I have in fact collected it. Similar things happen when being killed by mines or 'invisible' gunners. It doesn't always happen, just on days when my broadband provider is on a go slow (all the time at the moment).

I was playing Omega Dawn last night (I'm in UK), the drop ship is awesome and the feedback on my Dualshock 3 KICKS ass! How do you get the dropships on the classic maps? I've seen videos of the dropship on island outpost but couldn't find it/spawn it.

If you are just making your own game, you have to select the proper map (has the booster pack symbol and an asterisk by the name, I.E. Island Battle*. It'll also tell you that it is Dropship compatible).

I only played the new map at half size - it's massive. I was trying to run it and was taking forever.

I just wish I could find the mines! Can't wait to try it at 32 players with the full map.

Did anybody find any "official" servers using the older maps with the new dropship?

Played with Jafo and Vektar for a bit tonight. I was trying out one of the new maps to see if it had a dropship when my brother-in-law called. So, I'm on the phone, not paying attention - when Vektar tries to kill me. (I'm like, "Hey, Vektar's here!). Then I see Jafo in a tank (I'm like, "Hey, Jafo is here). And, of course, they're on the other team. I don't remember Vektar getting me - but, as I'm on the phone, I see myself get sniped - "BLU-Jafo". I'm thinking, that little! Then, not 1 minute later, sniped, "BLU-Jafo". I finallly, was able to get off the phone when the next game started - thinking, "It's time for some payback - but I end up on their team (which is good, cause my success at payback was probably mostly in my head).

Of course, later on while playing, my wife started talking to me - does anyone else find it incredibly hard to carry on a conversation while playing Warhawk? Phone calls and wives are the true enemy during Warhawk!

The mines were at a base with no other things around it (jeeps, planes, etc). I think it was base #4. Binoculars are at the base with the dropship (#8?) I never remember the numbers.

Yes... Yes I do... Hence when the Girly called I just logged out. Sorry to skedaddle so quick on you guys, but the conversation (as always) was a marathon. I figured I wouldn’t just sit idle or "give" points to the other team for almost an hour, and give my spot to someone who would contribute to CTF.

It was nice actually to be on a team with a few BluClan members for a change. Hope this happens more with the new patch and people making games with held slots for buddies/clan. See you all on next week!

When you are in a dropship by yourself, it's tuff to fight warhawks, lol.

It was great in the first 5 mins of playin I took out 3 drop ships, once with a tank, once with ground missile turret thing and once with a warhawk

After years of training, my wife now knows that I'm not listening when her mouth is moving.

I find turning up the sound helps.

Why does it take ages for me to rank up? usually i chould rank up like 2-3 times a day, not anymore, takes ageeeeeeeees, im stil stock on my same rank i was weeks ago, dont get any points..

Oh absolutely, its like every window or insurance saleman has access to the PS Network and they can filter who is playing on Warhawk and then they ALL phone whenever I log on! That and my ex used to call to say nothing for hours on end, but wouldn't let me hang up. Like I said, she's now my ex.

Don't know how to break it to you - that was a glitch in the game. That's why everyone (who owned and played on ranked servers for a few months) got their rank busted down.

Now, we all have to earn it back (even some of the stuff we earned legitimately) - all over again.

My suggestions for quick rank-ups:
1. Play only ranked servers (this should be obvious - but be aware).
2. Play smaller games (8 person or 16 person games). The smaller the better - chances are you'll catch and stop the flag and have a lot more kills. I usually get anywhere from 65 -100 pts in most 24/32 person games, per game - I usually get anywhere from 130 - 190 pts in an 8 person game. Many times I've gotten over 200 and hit over 300 a few times.
3. Make sure you know which badges are needed for your next rank. (Just cause you have the points doesn't mean you can rank up. A lack of one badge may be holding you back). Let people know which bade you're going for and ask people in this thread how they got it. There are some good tips. Copywriter gave me a sure fire way to get my 4X4 bandit badge.
4. Play more Warhawk.
