Eh? DVD was out in November, Warner didn't start releasing DVDs Nationwide until August the following year.

What was between the two?

*EDIT* Ahh, I found the answer. Columbia TriStar, Live, and Polygram released DVDs prior to Warner.

If this is true then payback is definitely a b*tch. This news trumps the Paramount deal and then some.

We don't know who it is ... let's be realistic.

Nothing is clear - and I am betting until we hear news tomorrow (or not), nothing will be.

We will probably never know who it is/was and personally I would prefer it stayed that way..!

i don't think its either one either, however he did say to PM him which P-Man does, all im saying is its very likely we know SA0CD by a different name. My money would be on beatboy, which is why im not 100% convinced right now. except blitz said we are in for a good day too.

THANK you. That is my point. Ignoring the war over whether or not this is happening, this jerk is manipulating everyone.

Either SA0 is a HD DVD supporter who likes to torture Blu-ray supporters or he is truly an insider with good news for us Blu-ray supporters. We will find out soon enough tomorrow.

If I recall correctly, WB was one of the first major distributors to support DVD by releasing 'Twister'. Warren Lieberfarb, a Warner executive is dubbed as the father of DVD.

I'm not too sure about what happened before that.

But what if it is true, is he a jerk then. No, he is the man ( or woman ), who gave blu-ray.com, the scoop first.

Yes, if it turn out to be true... we can always refer to him as 'Deep Blu-Throat'.

I cant go into detail, but sounds pretty good from where im sitting. Again, take anything you hear with a grain of salt, i may have heard rumblings, but they could also be pulling my chain. Wait till tomorrow like the rest of us! LOL

Also, does no one else see some similarities of the Stat Trek release and the New Line releases? When everyone asked paramount about when Star Trek would be released on BD, they kept saying "sometime in 2008". Funny that now New Line says the same thing about their releases for HD DVD. "Things that make you go hmmmmmmm".

i do agree with you, that Hairspray and Rush Hour 3 will never see the light of day on HD DVD, i don't know what that means for WB though. Being NL parent the region coating is a lie, they know how to make an HD DVD.

Exactly, why no official date, or even a month, just sometime in 2008, not Spring, Summer etc.
