So if the rumor turns out to be true, how many units of future releases like HP and Oceans do you think they will release on HDDuD since they would be abandoning the format in three months? It wouldn't make sense to manufacture a butt load of them in that case.

question: do warner normally countered wrong information?? Because I thought there might be time for them to counter this false information almost all day yesterday

This was posted evening hours in USA. WB was basically closing up business for the day.

Why risk getting caught by the Guards when you can get DRIVE ONS! I know a person or two on the lot... then we can rush the Home Video office legimately... and THEN we run before security can ID us and ban us from the lot permanently, stopping perhaps only to vandalize the stock of HD-DVD's in the on-lot store.

It seems if there was nothing to this rumor, Penton-Man would have come out and just said something denying the rumor completely or at least put it far away from himself. Maybe saying something like "That is dead wrong." or "I have no idea any Blu-ray exclusivity and WB." He doesn't close the door on this, so there must be something big brewing. Right? Penton-Man, don't play us like this.

Argh!

I think he knows something legit is brewing but not know the timing. He might be just as surprised as we are in the morning.

Interesting though...he didn't say something like..."consider the source".

not safe to make that assumption, Penton could be busy, or hasn't checked the site, he could be checking his sources for verification, it's good to be excited but I'd hate it if we were all sold on the idea that didn't come tomorrow.

Yes... just like that SUPERMAN II: THE DONNER CUT billboard a while ago. The difference is that it WAS also out on blu-ray at the time! Yet only mentioned DVD and HD-DVD. Hmmmm.

And with our masterplan -- the format war will be over before lunchtime PST. The plan just needs a cool name.

Does this mean HD VMD is gonna lose Warner support as well? Just curious.
What would be the reasons they will say on their press release?
What will be the response from HD DVD group and forums?

Eh, it was good while it lasted. We can always use some hope and publicity stunt

Heres an interesting game....
If you read the OP's posts and find some of his mispellings(I found at least 3 odd spelled words), you can then run it through the search function and come up with a list of names that also mispelled the words incorrectly.
The list is interesting....
