even if this isn't true its bad news for hd dvd. somebody will pick this up and post it on the front of their website tommorow. thatlly slow down hd dvd sales.

BTW I wonder if rjam would be as vocal if this was infact a HD-fanboy trying to stir up trouble. I would like to see him taken to task at AVS if this is FUD.

Ladies and gentlemen, I do have a question for your minds to wrap around here, maybe this will keep this thread going a bit as well...why would Warner announce that they were going exclusive if today they decided this:

Well when Paramount announced Blades of Glory on Blu-Ray still managed to leak out.

This is true, but I am trying to give Warner more credit than PM...I would figure they would take a high road in this process and do it gradually so that they don't look like PM. But again, for our sake, I'm looking forward to Warner going our way, whether tomorrow or eventually.

what is so funny is how much money hd dvd has lost to this war. seriously minus the ps3 blu-ray players sell at profits, blu-ray discs sell at profits. hd dvd heavily subsidizes their players, movies are sold for profits, and has to pay out its butt for advertising and support as nobody wants it.

rdjam wanted to get a head start in doing damage control. I guess that's how you can tell who the true shills are. Everyone else seems to be taking it as the unsubstantiated rumor that it is (Hopeful that it is/isn't true).

also you could look at their announcement as them getting out the release date and price before the bd exclusive announcement. they did promise the best of hd dvd, so its only fair to announce it before saying we are dropping hd dvd.

I understand that these HD-DUD titles have been promised for a while...let me put another spin on it, the more I think about it. Maybe they don't want to be like PM and have to pay for reshipment of the HD-DUDs or lose profit from all the discs that they might sell to HD-DUD supporters.

or maybe the BDA didn't want to pay for WB not to release the titles, knowing that the announcement would be more than enough to kill hd dvd. toshiba paid millions more for paramount to call back BoG and the funny thing is it accomplished nothing.
