So it is a good possibility that he is an insider under a john-doe name. Also, penton has made some strange fun comments tonight, that leads me to believe that this guy really isn't lying.

At this point in time, there is absolutely no reason for Warner to go Blu-Ray exclusive. I would predict a decision if any, would be around the Q1 2008 time frame depending on how well either format does in this Christmas Holiday Season.

I'm skeptical of this rumor. I sincerely doubt anything happens tomorrow. But I do think early next year WB will go Blu if all happens as anticipated in 4Q07.

I already told Plazman that he was wrong and that we're not all believing this rumour. He tried to tar all of the Blu-ray.com members as idiots, for believing this rumour. I straightened him out about it!

Man those HD-DUD fans make me laugh. Now they're saying that Sony is desperate, I think they should look at themselves in the mirror.

If true, it would be too bad. At least wait until after 4th Quarter but Sony might be desperate at this point. Can they risk waiting and having HD reign over the holidays? Sony stands to loose and it would be HD's gain, so they might have done a really substantial payout to lock-in the exclusivity rights for WB now before it's too late. Sony wants to win, they want to win at all and any costs. Too much at stake, so with a sense of desperation anything truly is possible.

That's what he stated in an earlier post that he had some important stuff to put on here. But that still may mean that he's blowin' smoke from his butt.

False rumor or not, his posts are incredibly detailed and lend some thought and attention (obviously!). He did say he had to somehow protect his computer and therefore his job. The moderators confirmed that it's coming from a public computer. I tend to think that's a little more than coincidence. But either way, whoever is doing this is going to a lot of trouble.

Also, tomorrow and Friday are the last two days of Q3. Again, it's nothing more than speculation, but most of this makes a lot of sense and there are no glaring loopholes. I believe if anything pointed to the contrary, it would have been mentioned either here or AVS.

Actually, I was a bit shocked...the HD-DUD camp comments included a few that said, "I can breathe a sigh of relief if this is true, at least the format war will be over."

It would awesome if this was true and WB made this announcement. But if not tomorrow they will make it official in January unless there is another buyout of course.

The numbers simply don't lie and Blu is the way to go.
