True, they are all future Blu-ray customers. His 2 posts and the avatar deserved a response. Srry if offended

Public computer? such as an internet booth?

Those two comments alone make this look like crap to me.

Alot of attention and detail was paid, more than likely by someone who has a minimal social life (or no life) probably no girlfriend, a boring tech job, still a virgin and a proud Toshiba HD-DVD player....

I never said that makes him credible.

The only reason I pointed out the IP/computer/job thing is that somebody, whether credible or not, is going to an AWFUL lot of trouble and very thoroughly thought this through before posting. I know better than to say this, but I don't think even HD-DVD guys would go to this much trouble to stir up a false rumor, but I could be wrong.

Edit this post.

Who cares about Amir, he is a putz.

I could care less about what the FUD artist thinks.
Indeed...Amir is a *****. Plain and simple. He sucks at lying, because all the crap he says isn't coming true always does. Theres a reason that everyone here can't stand him and Disney hates him.

SA0CD's style is very similar to Penton's in a number of ways, including the correct spelling of "Blu-ray" (No capital 'R'). If the story turns out to be true (I'm skeptical, to be honest), then I'd say it's him.

Retailers have already begun to give more space to BluRay, this would be the kicker for them to expand even more and start to tell consumers that this thing is over. Get Consumers on Board with BluRay in Q4 when people are spending money. It would be the smartest decision they could make. I know everyone is saying double dipping they would want to make more from both formats. Well if what this Guy is saying is true, they still will to some degree. I don't know makes alot of sense to me. Did I mention this guy sounds alot like BILL HUNT!!! Hmmm
You are very correct. It would be extremely smart for WB to announce this now.

This is true. But you'd be surprised how many people can think on their feet like that. I had friends back in high school thinking that a super-hacker was recruiting people for an army. In the end, they believe everything and were litterally scared to death. BTW, they still don't know it was me...they still talk about it.

Are you kidding? I wouldn't put it past them, they are seriously militant some of those HDDVD fanbots on avsforum. I swear it's like they are brainwashed by a cult, I refer to the cult as Amirist's. Been pety and childish is more a way of life for them in the format war!

Even on the australian forum I use to go on, the pro-HDDVD crowd was pretty intense it was hard to get a shot at HD-DVD without been HAMMERED with flames and personal jibes lol

There is a saying "when in rome, do as the romans do". To come on here with an HD DVD avatar is ridiculous and looks like someone trying to stir up trouble.

I have no problem welcoming people who are here to discuss or learn about Blu-Ray, but they've gotta assimilate to our forum and not put pro HD DVD stuff in our faces.

I'm sorry correct me if i'm wrong but Amir is a HD insider not Blu-Ray so if this were in fact true he would be the last person to be given the info.

Very true. Why would he give people another reason not to buy into HD-DVD?

Hahah, true that!

Just lastnight I dealt with this prank caller who was repeatable ring me, I finally returned the call and basically made up that I work for the phone network and that I can get an "cease and desist" order by friday which can stick for up to 7 years and remains on your criminal record, it can affect your future job prospects and travelling overseas, etc. Mind you I made all that crap up on my feet and well she hasn't rang me since.

I worked in sales for the last few years making up bullshit is an artform

Let me say this up front: I have no personal/inside knowledge of whether or not this will be true.

But I will also say this: this is very consistent with some PM's that I have received from a member here starting about 2-3 weeks ago. And I mean VERY consistent as far as the terms (Warner still releasing HD-DVD titles for a while, continuing with previous promotions with HD-DVD etc.).

I don't know if the OP is someone who registered with a new username and is the same person who sent me the PM's, but I seriously doubt it for reasons that I will not say here.

Bottom line for me: I have a more positive feeling than I normally would given the prior PM's, BUT I will still take a dose of healthy skepticism.
