So the supposed announcement will be at 11am EST???

Just wanted to know cause I have a Programming class tomorrow at 11:30 and maybe if this rally goes down I'll be able to find out early!

I really couldn't care less what Warner does but if this means I'll get Batman Begins earlier then WOOHOO!!!

But I really don't believe it.

Holy crap...I think you guys broke a record for largest thread on blu-ray.com

Let's get the hype train rolling...high-bitrate LOTR extended editions spread accross a series of BD-50s with lossless sound = NERDGASM

Once again-whether its true or not Blu-Ray is till going to be the winning format.

And again AMIR would be the last person to know this is a HD insider not Blu-Ray and the HD-Down Under comments from AVS - again everyone look at his name HD....I'm glad that he works in Australian distribution and a little in the U.S. but why in the world he thinks that if he picks up the phone that an exec at WB is really going to tell him anything whether it was true or not.

What is it with all the claimed HD Insiders/distributors thinking they have some sort of power over all the other Insiders and that they were given information when no one else is. Whether or not this happens tomorrow or when it happens in the future I can guarantee you Execs at WB will not be the ones to inform him of private deals.

Is it just me, or did this thread suddenly become the "all registered members of blu-ray.com please write something witty on this here rumor thread" ?

Regardless of what may come tomorrow, overwhelming euphoria or crushing disappointment or the same old same old long drawn quagmire for 18 months, at least we can look at this thread and know that humor still lives.

Exactly. Like I said at the first of this thread to the OP. I'll believe it when I see it, but if you are correct, you can come back tomorrow and say, "I told you so." I'd rather be skeptical about this than eating crow tomorrow.

Again, as WickyWoo said, this is no reason to skip anything like this...whether it's work or classes.

He only has 8 posts because he had to create a new account in order to protect his identity. If he reveals his identity and this is true, then he could get his sources in serious trouble for ignoring a direct order from superiors to keep the subject quiet.

Also, if he is on the east coast then he has already went to sleep (probably) and would not be posting anymore anyway.

I'm not saying his post is accurate, just clearing up the small post count.

I'm not skipping anything. It's just that my class ends at 12:50 then I go eat and sleep for about an hour and come back for one more class. I'm losing 10 minutes of sleep just to see if this is true. Lol.

Few things I'm going to add:

A)Do not underestimate Warner's appearance with BDA in IFA.

B)Did you guys already forgot about New Line? no HD DVD release dates yet! Region Coding? come on. Warner has no problem with no region coding. How come New Line does? Many companies smaller than New Line are releasing HD DVD's in europe with no region coding.

C)Panasonic is stepping up their effort for Blu-ray. I believe (not sure) they are giving Warner a deal for BD replication. Also Panasonic Hollywood Labs will cooperate with Warner's encoding house on many projects. Take this one with a grain of salt cause I'm not 100% sure here.

D)Some titles new more space to have a great quality. Some "very famous" title is going to prove it come Q2 2008.

Man this has been a busy day. I need a good meal now. If you guys have any important questions, PM me or post it here. I'll try to address it when I get home tonight.

If u know all this tell me more about Nickerson's Departure and what info you have on that, was this why he left????
