WTF is wrong with you people. This isn't AVS. This isn't the HD-DUD camp. It's BLU-RAY!

Any other time, you all would have chastised him to no end, the thread would have been locked and he would have been banned. So, what's the difference here?
Ahh, I think the majority here are all calling this into question with major doubt, however, it doesn't stop us in having fun speculation.

Like I said before, it is entertaining nonetheless.

Thanks for your rude comment. To let you know I didnt actually read everything he said and I didnt pay attention to the "PDT timezone" I just quickly skimmed the article because I dont have time to read long posts. I did say that I was in school
I do know my timezones however.

Thanks :-)

By the way Sockstar I love your signature about the 360.

Let's just hope that if this is a hoax, that the OP will be so honest to tell us as 10am PST. Otherwise, we are going to start to wonder if there is something wrong at WB that may delay a press release.

I'm not gonna believe it till I hear it from an official source. Not that I'd mind if it was true, but I doubt this one guy found out and no one else did. Whats really incredible is the amount of posts it generated. Has it been the dullest day ever that this rumor has gotten so many posts?

The big lesson we can all learn today is.... Timezones! Look it up, its not the same time everywhere on the planet you know.

Sorry, ive seen the mods close many less harmful things than this in a heartbeat. im still really confused about what will happen, but hope for the best. and due to pmans comments this thred will go on a lot longer thatn 10 PST if its false. He said sometimes big announcements get delayed for a plethora of reasons. so in 10 comes and no WB, that doesn't mean its over by any means. another thing id like to add is penton has been quite for a long time about the "big things" going on. i think the bda should have been able to accomplish something right now. and if SA0CD is teling the truth about this deal being done, but not going to be announced, then that would answer pmans silence.

To be honest, threads like these just make the workday a bit more interesting. News has been slow after the paramount announcement, and most people probably find it fun to post in this speculation type of thread.

If true, great, but if false, it's not something you were expecting to come true anyways.
You and me are on the same wavelength...

Indeed, it is at least entertaining and keeps a lot of us of the streets

Exactly. I dont understand the people coming in chastising the thread and saying "I DONT BELIEVE ALL OF YOU BELIEVE THIS". I would argue that the ratio of people who believe to dont believe is at least 8:1. If not more.

People are just having fun with this. A lot of people out there are on edge. If its a troll and a fake, then so what? We go on with our daily lives? If true, we get some excitement. Where is the harm? So an HDDVD fan can go back to a forum and brag to his buddies how he hornswaggled the whole website? Eh, if thats what it takes to make him happy, then so be it. It doesnt effect my life one way or another.

Looks like "Format War season 02 episode 01" starts off with a bang, top-quality entertainment and what a cliff-hanger until the next episode! We should have a format war every other year.

The issue if this is true of not has me stumped.

The paramount exclusive announcement came from nowhere, and caught everyone in HD media by suprise when they dumped blur-ray.

Perhaps this is why we haven't seen a peep from anyone else at this point. One of two possibilities exist:

1. It's bullcrap, the poster should be banned, and the witchhunt begins.

2. It's for real, and this guy mysteriously found out about the most secretive HD media topic for this month.

Have any other 'industry insiders' eluded to knowing anything? Have they mentioned they know nothing, or has anyone simply 'declined to comment'?

I just want to know how many times it has been posted that it's happening at 10 PST. Seriously, I bet I've read 50ish posts saying either, "when is this happeneing?" or "it's happening in xxxx minutes" (and turns out to be completely off).

I would like to pre-emptively point out that Penton's comments are quite clear: He doesn't know about an announcement tomorrow.
