...and was wondering if you all bought the extended warranty from where ever you got it. I got mine at, and work at, Best Buy. Think it's worth it?

I say hell yeah it's worth it, especially if you get it from Best Buy. Their PRP's are great, as I'm sure you know since you work there (I used to as well). You can cheat it if you want to . . . that's how I got my 80gb

I don't think the Extended Warrenty is worth it. $100 for a year = No. Now if it was for 5 years, I'd consider. But since the PS3 failure rate is so low, I avoided it.

It's 2 years.

Nobody ever checks to verify any problems with anything, at least not at the Best Buy's I've been/worked for. Just tell them something's wrong with it . . . if you do it within the manufacturer's warranty you don't even have to rebuy the PRP.

I bought the 3-year extended warranty for my 60 gB that I bought from Walmart during 12/06. It is absolutely worth it.

Plus it's only 60 for those 2 years. Still with a low fail rate... I doubt it's necessary. TV's are different stories.

I got a six-year warranty for my PS3. Was it worth it? Well, we'll see if my PS3 breaks down in the next 5.5 years.

You better hope this statistic was wrong but I saw somewhere that the PS3 had a 0.2% failure rate. I doubt it's that low but I have no idea. I belive the X Box 360 has a pathetic failure rate at somthing like 30%

Well, i worked at Future Shop (Best Buy Canada) and if you got the same deal on the Warranty as we did, then yes. But if not, the Best Buy warranty is crap, and is not worth the money
