Default When the Wind Blows (1986) (Limited Edition)

Pre-order http://www.screenarchives.com/title_...ON-ALIEN-2010/

Quote:
When the Wind Blows (1986)—writer Raymond Briggs’ adaptation of his own graphic novel, brought to the screen by director Jimmy T. Murakami—is an enchantingly collage-like animated film (featuring drawn, stop-motion, and live-action sequences) on a very grim subject, indeed: the effects of nuclear holocaust on an ordinary English couple. James and Hilda Bloggs (perfectly voiced by acting legends John Mills and Peggy Ashcroft) are a happy, near-elderly pair living in the lovely rural countryside when—seemingly out of nowhere—disaster beyond all imagining strikes. Featuring a score by Roger Waters (late of Pink Floyd), with a title song from David Bowie and contributions from Genesis, Squeeze, and Paul Hardcastle.

ALSO INCLUDING:
A documentary from Sé Merry Doyle, Jimmy Murakami: Non-Alien (2010).

I've never seen this film myself. It looks interesting. And with David Bowie and Roger Waters, the soundtrack must be great.

Preorders generally go up roughly three weeks before release date. I would plan on October twenty-something. The concrete date should definitely be posted on the first page of this thread sometime in the not too distant future:

I really wanted this since I am a huge fan of the Iron Maiden song based on the film but sadly the audio cock up held me off. Shame.

The BFI release sounded fine, no issues.

Really hoping KINO or some other studio picks this up for Region A and fixes the audio issue.

I can confirm the German Turbine Mediabook 100% fixes the issue and is Region A friendly:

EXCELLENT news, thanks! This region-free collector will be adding this to his collection lickety-split.
