I guess you are in a bind. One TV, two people. Where was it that I heard that necessity is the the wife - I mean mother of all invention? How about a two sided LCD sharing one backlight and a screen on each side. You sit facing eachouther, put the TV in the middle, and you both watch the set at the same time!

Forget it, it will never work. You will always have between the two of you!
