My Wife Sucks! - Blu-ray Forum

I have a brand new Wii (it came with Wii Sports). I have been trying to get Wii for about 5 months and I finally succeeded. It just came today from Amazon.com. With it I also bought the Dance Dance Revolution bundle (with rubber maxie pad), Pinball and some other Party Games disc.

My wife will NOT let me play with my Wii tonight. Instead, she is hogging up the 52-inch Sharp Aquos watching her friggin' lame SOAP operas on the TIVO. That's like not letting me play with my toys on Christmas.

I am royally SCREWED! No Wii for me tonight. I am pissed. And to make matters worse, wifie will be home ALL WEEKEND. She claims she is watching The Ten Commandments, King of Kings and Ben-Hur on DVD this weekend to celebrate Easter.

I looks like I need to get me another TV.

I hate to say it, but my wife SUCKS! She is torturing me with her SOAP operas.

It's times like these that I wish I was GAY.

from the title i was going to say: as all good wives should. but after reading that story i must sympathize. i had to buy my wife a 32" hd lcd for the bedroom so she would stay off my tv.

You could always turn your home's power off, and say "Aww crap. The power went out. Honey, could you go to the store and get some candles?"
Then while she's gone, turn the power back on and play the Wii. Then you have the TV first

Not saying that you're wrong, man. But you definantly need an attitude adjustment, can't be saying that stuff about your wife. Perhaps you can work out a compromise. That's what love is all about. Besides, it's just a Wii, I could see more excitement if you just got a PS3 and Rock Band. By the way, have fun with your Maxi Pads, you might want to share some with your wife.

Wow. I thought only old ladies and white trash women in trailers watch daytime soaps anymore.

I also thought only girlie men and spoiled brat children whined when they couldn't play their video games.

Something tells me I'm right about one and wrong about the other.

Just teasing. But seriously... if your wife denies you the things that you feel passionately about just so she can watch old movies on TV, you both obviously have marriage and maturity issues. How about no video games and no TV for either of you while you go hiking or spend the day at the park this weekend?

I tried the same tactic Buck. 32" Sony LCD in the bedroom and it didn't work.

The title sounds so miss leading. One can dream. Best way to resolve the situation is get yourself a secondary set to play with till you can get your wife to play with......

lol, very true. I would recomend a second TV. Anyways I wouldnt dare hook my wii up to my HDTV, I have it hooked up to the old projection TV in the other room. That way it wont get hit by flying remotes
