Have been taking advantage of my Barnes & Noble membership lately by buying quite a few books but I know I've been overpaying. Currently looking at some books on Target's site because I want to order a couple during their BOGO50 off sale.

and Getting irritated. I had a 10am appointment for the cable company to come out and run a line to our apartment (for some reason we're in the only unit in this complex that doesn't have an active line yet) and I was 200miles in another state visiting family the last 2 days assuming my girlfriend could handle things here for a change. Nope, she worked her double shift yesterday and went straight up to Lexington for the weekend. I didn't find out til 6am this morning so I raced back here to meet the tech only for them to not show up. I just got off the phone with spectrum support nd apparently the tech was here at 8am! WTF since when do you show up 2hrs early to an appt? In my experience usually these guys show up late never early. Anyway apparently there's an issue where the line has to be cut in, and the tech that came out wasn't qualified to do the job. Holy crap no kidding that's why I had the service appointment in the first place! If it was simply to hook up the equipment(which apparently the tech that came out is only qualified to do) I could've done that myself last week. So now I'm waiting for a call from dispatch to find out if they're gonna send out the right tech for the job or if I'm screwed. Meanwhile idk if it's safe to leave to run some errands or not.

I spent 7 months lurking on this site and 13 years as a member and I've never seen this much downtime.

Anyway...tomorrow is Friday.

Just got back from Lowe's. As I was getting ready to leave I noticed a Spectrum van just parked in the complex's lot so I started walking towards him to ask about getting my apartment hooked up and he drove off. I dunno if he was waiting for something/someone or if they're deep down trying to piss me off at this point. I think I may have to go to their competitor here but I've heard service is shoddy with them and they have reputation of constantly raising rates(not that spectrum is any better in that regard) ....i keep telling myself this is just a transitional apartment, one year max.

front yard yesterday I don't know what they are doing.

Might be general maintenance or upgrading things

It was just ironic how i had a service appointment that they blew off this morning but then this afternoon I saw them sitting in front of my apt complex not just once but twice. And yet here I am stuck using my mobile data.

Just finished watching the final lecture for Child Abuse 2, kinda feel bad about ripping that professor a new one in the class review but I still feel she's unfit to be a professor. Brushing my teeth and watching a bit more of Attack of the Clones before I head in for my Friday shift. One more week till I graduate!

Home from work so indulging in a couple adult beverages and trying to video chat with my daughter. She gets out of school at 2:30 so I know she's home but she's not answering my calls and hasn't the past couple weeks. Getting pissed off as i haven't talked to her since the last time I was in NY 3 weeks ago. I should probably stop trying while I'm drinking before I do something I may regret, it just upsets me that I bought her a cell phone to keep in touch and she refuses to answer it when I call.

Got back an hour ago from a four hour bike ride. This is the farthest I've ever ridden from my apartment. Wish I knew how many miles I actually went. I live downtown, which isn't visible here.
