Worrying about the misses. Her & the kid were in a car accident yesterday. Theyre both fine but we spent most of the day yesterday in the ER cause she jacked her neck and back up. X-Rays & catscans come back OK.

Yeap...he's fine. He didn't even drop his new beta fish he got. The lady rear ended them going 35 - 40. She didn't even have time to brake.

stewing about my outrageous water bill that came yesterday.

apparently, rather than coming and checking the meter the last 3 billing cycles, they "estimated" my bill.

out of the blue yesterday, i get a "catch up" bill. i have to pay $200 more than normal b/c they low balled their "estimates"

I bought a Sony Vaio a couple of months ago and the keyboard died in 6 days. I returned it and got all my money back and I never got around to getting another.

that's where i was this morning all they could tell me was to check the toilets for a "silent leak" and monitor the meter every day to see how much water we are using.

the best part is none of our habits changed and our bill has been the same....give or take $20/$30......every time for the last 3 years!!!

It's amazing what a leaking toilet flapper will cost you in water every month. I monitor my utility bills very closely and noticed an unusual increase one month. I checked out all of the toilets, and found that my sons' bathroom had a leak I never knew about because I never go upstairs or into that bathroom. Once fixed, the bills dropped back to "normal", which is still ridiculous where we live. We average $85/month, which does not include the irrigation system in the summer. Our rates are the highest I've ever had in the 6 houses we've owned over the years.

I just discovered Sunday that the main water line for my irrigation system had cracked and was leaking water into my yard. Per a neighbor, it had been leaking since Saturday. I don't want to think how much my bill will be next month for all of that wasted water...
