Watching some TV and having a cold beer or three. My fiancee's spending another night at the hospital with her brother as he recovers from open heart surgery today so I guess I have the place to myself tonight.

It is and those are the "Full House houses". I was going to mention that but I think I had just hit submit when the thought entered my head again. The houses are across from Alamo Square Park in San Francisco.

There was a great article by AV Club on Gregg Alexander, the lead singer/writer for New Radicals. It goes through his being dropped by 2 different record labels and being given another chance, and his unhappiness and why he broke up the band so shortly after You Get What You Give reached number 1.

It kind of examines the state of pop at the time, with a bit of hindsight because the article was written 16 years later.

I understand what you posted but this was still very confusing. I had to read twice to make sense of it even though it should have made sense the first time. Isn't this weird? It's the "Painted Ladies" that threw me off so reading this was like "rofl" and "wtf?" the same time.
