Working til 1500 or so then heading up to the mountains where I hope to meet the Wife and kid. Looks like our campsite for the next 3days will be a 8mile hike in from the trailhead parking lot so not too bad. Only about 300ft from the Lake which will be nice. We were gonna stay a 3rd night [Saturday] but the kid has her b-ball summer camp awards banquet on Sunday..hard to believe the summer is coming to an end.

For hard stuff, I'm a basic Fella. Rum, it's Bacardi White. Whiskey, it's Crown Royal.

I'm not a connesieur but I've had my fair amount of whiskeys and crown royal wouldn't exactly be my first choice

With all due respect, you can do a LOT better for the price than Bacardi, especially with white rums. Same for whiskey for that matter, but to each their own.

Sitting here thinking about going back to bed. I had a rough night of up and downs with this cold. Unfortunately The Mrs and MiL are at the latters doctor appointment. So I don’t want to leave the boy unsupervised.

In honor of it being Spider-Man Day, I have decided to take it upon myself and read the entire comic book run of The Amazing Spider-Man.

This will constitute 801 issues spanning over 50 years.

If my math is correct, I plan on reading at least five issues daily over the next 160 days. Which means I should finish early January 2020.

Slept all day and was feeling pretty good until I started doing a few things. Maybe bringing in the cases of water wasn’t the most solid of plans. Anyway, just sitting here, chilling, scrolling through the threads and waiting until it is time to go back to bed.

The_Donster, I can't remember the last time I had a cold. Haven't had a flu shot since I was a kid. I just don't get sick for some reason.

and unpacking from our big camping failure of 2019 -- apparently our long time hidden gem of a site was found by others. We arrived to find the place swamped with other campers. I didn't mind that part as it's public land but come to find out these people weren't just enjoying the wild/nature, but were there to party. They trashed everything, threw their beer cans and cigarette butts in the lake and I really thought they were going to start a wild fire out there. It wasn't til a couple of the guys made leer comments at my wife and daughter before I said enough was enough, I looked over at My Wife and said "we've gotta go, this is getting out of hand." Mind you it was just shy of 11pm and about 10miles into the thickness of the woods, there was no way we were going to find our way back to the trail head in the dark so I let the girls sleep while I stayed up on guard duty (I'm certain they were just drunk and wouldn't have done anything but I wasn't going to take any chances). So I've been up since 1am YESTERDAY, even this ultra-caffeinated coffee isn't performing it's best so I think I'm just going to go take a nap now, and unpack the rest of the truck later.

For those of you who made it through this long post and are interested, we've decided that in the future I think we're going to stick with state campgrounds as a family, its a shame because until this last trip I always found primitive camping more peaceful/comforting. Looks like some solo camping trips may be in store for me.

Apparently this is when I get sick annually Head Bugs according to my Facebook reminders. Although I don’t remember getting sick last year. I was probably to busy with the move. Which might be in my future again. The Mrs is perfectly fine with there being no boundaries. The exception being me.

So not only do I need to find a new job, but also a place to live if this is the direction we’re going. I can’t have my son constantly being a spoiled brat and letting it slide. The big question is do I stay here or go somewhere else? The only problem there is I won’t have a vehicle, money or a place to live.

Man, that sucks Mike. I hate that your trip got cut short. Hopefully you guys are making the best of it. In brighter news, I think I’m on the backslide of the cold. Still congested, but breathing is easier and I can sleep on both or my sides better. So I should be good to go by Monday.
