Banking is so great now. I remember the pain it was to send money to my ex. Now it’s a couple of keystrokes.

i've got all my monthly payments set on auto-pay. my paycheck is done with direct deposit. i never have to step foot inside a bank; unless i need to deposit cash. for checks, i just open the app, take a picture of the check (front and back) and it's in my account within 24 hours.

i even do my license and tags online. i'm not about to step foot inside the dmv unless i absolutely have to (which i did earlier this year because i changed my vanity plate to something different). but just for renewals? i do it all online.

and i FINALLY got my mother to do online banking/bill pay a couple years ago.



in this day and age, you could literally do everything online and never have to leave your house.

have a job
receive a paycheck
pay bills
buy clothes
buy groceries
have food delivered (and not just from pizza places, either)
have other goods/items delivered

that said, i still get out whenever i can. i like being at home, but there are times where i just need to get out and go do something.

It's coming up to 5:30am here. I was preparing to go to bed around 1, but I checked my student finance account and saw that, despite a recent letter clarifying that my parent's financial situation is not as good as they thought, my entitlement has been reduced, which sent me spiralling into anxiety and I couldn't even think about sleep. Their phone lines open at 8am so I want to call them as soon as I can, and in the meantime had a Red Bull and decided to stay up and work on an essay about Parasite. Unfortunately, I haven't been too productive about that.

So I guess I'm just sitting here, doing very little of importance while I wait to give student finance a call.

There was an issue the other day with my hours worked and what I'd be paid.
I saw my Supervisor at the dining hall a few minutes ago and he's gonna put my hours in so I'll get paid.
It's great to work for people who look out for their Crew.

i checked my paycheck yesterday (we get paid friday, but we can check our pay stubs the wednesday of pay week), and it was not correct. After looking, I noticed that they didn't put my vacation pay on there. so i had to go to the girl in hr and she called and had them fix it. i'm glad i checked, then. not knowing until friday means i wouldn't have gotten the rest of it until sometime next week.

and Watching the morning news with my girlfriend's sister as we're the only two awake right now. Thinking about all the snow I get to shovel later and wondering what are the chances of conning her into doing it for me instead.
