The fans in general did support Moyes,as I said when he was appointed,I thought it was the wrong choice, this was a man who had won damn all!

Fergie for all he has done should never been involved in the decision,Utd should have went with Mourhino when we had the chance.

Moyes had two transfer windows to improve things, had Utd scraped into fourth I have no doubt Moyes would still be in a job but going from champions to around seventh in the league is no where near good enough.

And the bonus is Fellani won't be too far behind Moyes.

Klopp has ruled himself out so Van Gaal looks in pole position.

Where does that leave Fergie in regards to his position at the club.

He picked him and now less than a year into a 6year deal he's gone.

Klopp would have been my choice,Van Gaal I'm not so sure about.

Fergie's position will remain until he decide's otherwise,no one, especially the Glazer's would be stupid to remove Fergie from the club....they just won't be asking for his opinion in the new appointment.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Moyes getting the Spurs job.

Tim Sherwood is available 😀😄

Moyes will do a good job elsewhere, just like he did at PNE and Everton but he wasn't cut out for that job,We couldn't afford to give him the millions in the summer for him to fail again.

There have been reports of a rift between Moyes and Giggs,I wonder how much of that had to do with the performances, the other players, the ones that had been there for years would have more respect for Giggs than Moyes,I can't help feeling maybe Moyes tried to show Giggsy who was boss, maybe he talked down to him and it didn't go down well.

I'm glad Giggs has got the job until the end of the season but he needs to go elsewhere to give management a go,just like Robson and Hughes did, they were sent out as possible replacements for when Fergie retired.....and we know how that turned out.

I'm hoping he does well in last few games to be considered full time.

People talk about 150-200million to spend but is there that amount of talent out there worth that money.

The banner has gone from the Chosen One to the Cheating One.

Would four games really be enough to be considered?it would be great to see him manage Utd one day but it's not time to be sentimental.

I think there's plenty of talent out there and it's going to take the amount of money you mentioned to fix it,that includes selling some players but we are going to need a major re-haul so yeah that amount seems to be about right.

Plus as always, once a club knows Utd have it everyone we buy will be above their actual real value but there's nothing you can do about that.

It's a sad state of affairs that any top club that doesn't win a major trophy after one season or have instant success is sacked. This is what football has become. What is the solution? Throw 200 million or more at the new manager. Sigh.

Alex ferguson wouldn't have survived at United with the current mindset. It took several years for him to trully make his mark.

Yes it is the state of football nowadays but I don't think anyone expected too much this season.
As I have already said,if we had scraped into fourth spot then I am sure Moyes would still be in charge but instead he have been humiliated in quite a few games this season.

Getting knocked out of the FA cup in the third round to Swansea at home, lost to Sunderland in the League Cup,lost heavily to both City and Liverpool and have basically just lost the plot.

No fight,no desire,no football, just complete lacklustre displays, yes the players have to take some of the blame but as you know the but stops with the manager and he has been unable to lift a squad that walked the league last year.

He has also spent near 70 million on two players, one that is nowhere near Utd class and one that doesn't fit into the current system no matter how good he may be.

As for this whole Alex Ferguson wouldn't survive crap,I am tired hearing that from everyone.
Fergie took over a "pub team" a squad that drank almost every day, there were lots of different stories with Viv Anderson,Bryan Robson,Norman Whiteside and Co. having drinking binges during the season.

Moyes never took over a squad even a quarter of the shape Fergie did,he took over a champion winning side....totally different.

Edit:Moyes joined Utd and we have went too far backwards in a short space of time,Moyes leaves Everton and they have improved a lot, take from that what you will.

Yes, they won the title but there weren't that many people outside of Manchester who thought they were going to continue winning it. Last season was IMO, the weakest Man U team I can remember. Certainly midfield wise. The rot was going to set in soon anyway. It's just the way it goes. Teams have periods of success and then someone else takes over. I don't see man united recreating their success rather I see them as another Chelsea now. Periods of finishing in the top 4 with the odd fa cup trophy or champions league trophy over the next decade. Winning the title 3 or 4 years in succession is long gone.

I enjoy watching Man U at their best but it's been a long time since they were at their best.

Utd were probably the best team the year before also, losing the league on goal difference, the 4-4 draw with Moyes' Everton costing us the title.

Last season was far from the worst Utd team I have saw,yes the midfield was weak but it had been for years,we could win the PL with that team but it's why we fell short in Europe, that and we twice came up against one of the best sides ever in Barcelona.

Moyes had two transfer windows to address the problems and he didn't.

As for what the future holds who knows,I said a few years ago that City were going to dominate the PL with the money at their disposal and they haven't even come close,Liverpool on the other hand still seemed quite a bit short of having a team capable of winning the league, there you go,it appears they will have as many Premier League titles as City.

Utd will be back as long as they have the right man in charge, yes they have to be given time but it has to be the right man in the first place!

There will be all kind of rumours now that he is gone but a rift between Moyes and Giggs is hard to believe.
David Moyes had said over and over again about how much he has respect for Giggs and just look at how fast he appointed him coach on the United staff.
