Sunderland will pick up a win against West Brom....your goal difference is far superior to Norwich's as well.
Weird to think if they'd beat both Sunderland and Norwich at home in the past couple of weeks, (both of which were in the botton 3), they'd be three points clear with the pressure on Pool and City playing catch up.

And the Palace defeat, that's what I mean about a striker costing them dearly....ahh well,no tears shed here,in saying that I would have wanted them to win the league over the other two.

Edit:It worked out well for SAFC last week,if Moyes had of been still in charge of us then they might as well have gotten something at OT.

Yeah no doubt we expected to fall after Fergie and you are right,no one at the club, inside or out thought we would fall so far and find ourselves outside of a Champions League spot....that's what was the final nail in Moyes' coffin.

How much does Van Gaal if appointed need to get you back into top 4 ?

It's difficult to say, rumours are we have 100-150 mill to spend, some of that will come from sales but of course the price will go up for the players we want.

When clubs know you have it they will push to drain the last million from you but we are in a catch 22 situation and they have Utd by the balls, everyone knows we are desperate for new players and not being in the Champions League means will will have to increase wages to attract the top players.

In saying that there will be a massive off load of wages with the dead wood we have within the club.

Cavani keeps getting mentioned and I hope we are not about to spend around 45 mill on a player we don't need, the defence needs sorted and the midfield.

My concern is if van Gaal gets the job and it does seem more and more likely then he will no doubt start with van Persie who I personally would have sold,Rooney and Mata for me are the way forward.

Cavani for me is overrated course he is a top player but isn't world class for me.

Toni Kross is another one that hasn't impressed me for reportedly the 200k plus wage he would want.

If Van Gaal gets the job what happens with Giggs? If he goes do scholes and Neville and butt stay on with van gaal

Cavani for me is overrated also,Kroos' I would take but I don't think he will leave,he's just holding out for more money at Bayern,200k are the wages I expect to pay for a top player and like I said,we will have to increase it because the players won't feature in the CL.

Utd want Giggs to stay,(coaching role)now the problem is that van Gaal want's to bring in Kluivert, too many chefs and all that,Scholes and Neville will have to get roles elsewhere within the club...which I think is fair.

Utd have of course met with van Gaal and I'm not sure he is convinced with this class of 92 input....he respects it but want's to do things his own way with his own team.

For me Giggsy should go elsewhere for management experience and see where that takes him, hopefully a future Utd job but look at Keane,Robson and Hughes, all super players who couldn't manage shit...we can't take the risk with a novice...I mentioned on here before that this is not a time to get sentimental.

We need top European experinece,I wish Ancelotti would take the job to be honest with you but that is unlikely.

Another thing that doesn't seem to be mentioned is that the Barca job I'm sure will be up for grabs this summer and landing the coach we want will be tough when I am sure they(Barca)have already spoke to a few.

Fair play to ya....I'd like to cut down....stopping would be great but that might be a bridge to far.

When I have went to Utd matches I have had to buy the paper the next morning to read what happened.
