So Advocaat says that Sunderland staying up will be built on the contributions of a convicted paedophile and predator? I think it'd rather go down if I was honest.

Anyone read Pearson's comments about his summer spending plans? Makes you wonder why the owners aren't willing to part more cash.

Wow Pizzamorg! He is not convicted.

He is playing because as of yet he is not guilty of anything. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

How many times are they gonna take him into court then? I thought he was already convicted anyway but if he hasn't I swear he's been in and out of court for months now. I guess when you're on a footballers wage though you can pull this kind of stuff, footballers seem to get away with murder as given anyway.

Just normal procedure. He has been charged so obviously its the court case now.
It is my personal opinion that he is not guilty.

Coates has been immense tonight, I'd like to see us give him a chance next season. What have you made of him since he got into the Sunderland side steedeel?

Yesssss, well done Sunderland! Terrific rear guard action. Now maybe Steed can finally rest easy and watch with glee as two other North west sides battle to avoid the drop. As much as I'd love to see Bruce get relegated (which is surely the most probable), if Newcastle went down it'd be the kick in the arse that Ashley & co deserve.

Congrats Sunderland, very resilient today.

Frustrating watch from an Arsenal perspective though. What matters is a top 3 finish and it'd take a disaster for that not to happen now.

Just seen this. Never played a football game on PS3 (for the moment). If a game hasn't got a machine gun in it, I tend to pass.

Sunderland are staying! Just a shame the Arsenal goals have dried up. I hope he proves me wrong, but Welbeck isn't a 20 goal a season striker. If Giroud hadn't have been injured for that long time he might have been. Sanchez is a dynamo, but he's played how many minutes this season? Thanks mate. That was a very hard 90 minutes. I have just managed to calm down now! Delighted.

Geoff, we are North East mate. Easy mistake to make if you not from the North though.

Well, under poyet he was useless. Whatever Dick has done, it has transformed him. He looks a class act. Can't believe I am saying that lol.
I think he will be offered a deal. Can't see him going back to Liverpool.

O'shea got MOM but Coates could have easilly won it also.
