Sure, City vs Atletico wouldn't have been the prettiest final on paper, but as it is there's still gonna be one team digging in, spoiling, hoping to nick a goal and basically ruining the game as a spectacle as Real try and break down their neighbour's defence. You never know, perhaps City and Atletico would've cancelled out each other's nurdling and we'd have gotten a cracking final. But instead: see above.

Me too, I was hoping they'd snatch something but it wasn't to be. They'd better finish 4th or higher now, otherwise Pep won't have any Champions League at all next season (not that he's won it in three attempts with Bayern, but still )

A.Madrid are a better team than Man.city and its true they will close down, won't give them any space, and wind up the Real players that they do best.
But they work non stop and hit you on the counter attack which such pace, touch and skill and add to the occasion its a derby where anything can happen this will be a some final Geoff compared to what Man.city would bring if they were in the final.

I don't think so david he get a open cheque book to have the team he wants.
He will get City playing the type of football that we saw with Bayern and if he is not a success in English football compared to what he achieved in Spain and Germany then i be surprised.

He might have a open cheque book Tob but he's coming from Barca/Bayern two giants of the game he's going to City who struggle to sell tickets to the quarter finals against PSG.

They call the Etihad the Emptyhad Stadium its never full.

Huge game for us tonight against Villarreal!! Come on red men!!!!!

Yesssss!! Well done Liverpool for reaching the final. It'd be a right laugh if you lot won it and snagged Champions League football for next season and City get pipped to 4th spot. Poor Pep.

I seen the Liverpool fans on skysports news today talking about the fact Uefa should change to a bigger venue it is a stupid decision to have the final at a small stadium at Basel.

I didn't understand the decision to hold it in a stadium that's small makes no sense and the demand for tickets will be unbelievable. They won't change it now think we have 10,250 tickets which is too small for a fan base like ours.

R u worried about 4th in the Prem now we are in the Final.

Yes and no.
I want us to be back in the champions league but not under Wenger as it won't make a difference what we do in it.
We repeat the same mistakes and we can't compete with teams like Bayern or Barcelona who are on a different level to us.
We are not moving forward in the league and we are not prepared for the champions league so nothing will change until Wenger leaves.
If you take away the money from getting to the champions league it might open the eyes of everyone in the boardroom at Arsenal david but i see no hope with our club until we see change but that won't happen because he will see out his last year of his contract and i won't be surprised if he gets a new contract after that.

I put money on it he signs another two year deal.

I'm expecting him to splash the cash in the summer, I can see next year being much tighter for top 4.

Liverpool Chelsea Manure Man City will all improve and I can't see Spurs losing any of their players in the Summer so they will improve as well.

Much harder to attract top players when you have no Champions League football.
