I've never caught the Champ Manager bug. I spend all day in front of a computer (really? ya don't say? ) but those games always seemed so dry to me, I was never much of a tactician.

It shouldn't be as addictive as it is, it's effectively a Facebook game without the micro transactions but I dunno. I always found that Fifa always kinda sagged a month or so after each transfer window, with limited AI meaning you effectively play the same match a dozen times, get a short boost of adrenaline when signing a new player and then slump again. The depth and freedom to put your own personal stamp on Football Manager is really addictive.

Football Manager can be addictive i have every game going back to the first Championship Manager game.
But in the last two years i have fallen away from the game there is so much to do before match day that with me it took me over 2 hours just to prepare for one match so you can see why i fell away from the game.
But i think i might get the new game they brought out a while back.

Sevilla deserved the win, we didn't turn up on the night but we had two stone wall penalties not given. Badly need a new LB Moreno is shocking he has no football brain. Roll on next season hopefully he gets the players he wants in the summer and Henry and co back him.

Good luck Saturday.

'16 really captures the Leicester experience well... if this was the 14/15 season, when we'd usually be the best team on the pitch but still end up conceding a silly goal and taking away none of the points we rightly deserved.

Three games into the League, already in the thick of the relegation battle with back to back loses to Arsenal and Liverpool and a draw to West Ham. I have no idea how to win on this game.

Playing the demo right now. It's addictive but so hard that it's putting me off of a full purchase.

Cheers David, but me being Captain Pessimistic I think Palace will lose by the same scoreline. Utd's defence isn't outstanding so we could pinch a set-piece or two but with players like Mata, Rooney, Martial and Rashford they've got the potential to hurt us badly going forward, as well as that big bastard Fellaini.

I'll be wearing my classic Fly Virgin 1990 Palace shirt and enjoying the build up anyway on the BBC. COYP!

Looking at the patch notes it makes it seem like the Patched Version is a whole different game.

Must be a stupid question as I can't find the answer anywhere online, but how do I promote one of my Coaches to an assistant?

I am not sure but i think if you sack your assistant manager straight away then look at the coach in your staff that you want to replace him then that option should be there i think you can do that in the full game.

I can only do it by sacking my current one? That is a shame.

Now I've let the Backroom Staff chip into a lot more aspects of our game, I'm starting to see some much better results from Leicester. Weirdly enough, a slow paced, control focused, game seems to suit Leicester best on FM. Which is ironic as that is pretty much the complete opposite of real life.

It's early days, but if I can keep them in the top half I'm going to keep my job. It's still frustrating how weirdly balanced the game is, usually giving the obvious team the victory even if it makes no sense in context at all. I went into a game against United on terrific form, three back to back wins, Young and player of the month awards, just missed out on manager of the month... and got thrashed three one. Bearing in mind in my game United are battling just above relegation. They picked the blandest most generic outcome in the real world and that is really disappointing.

Another frustrating with Leicester is we don't have a lot of money or a lot of respect, at least in the game, so trying to sign players and keep players is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
