Oh, I wasn't crowing, I'm amazed more than anything as we've had a stellar record against the Scouse sides since our return to the EPL.

I turn over to the golf and Palace equalise, I turn back over to the football and we have a perfectly good goal ruled out, that coming after Jagielka's Harlem Globettrotters impression. These officials, what can you say?

Yeah. The second half has not been very fruitful for us. Looks like another winless night against Palace at home. Stuff happens.

1-1, I said I'd take a point so I'm very happy with that, both teams kinda cancelled each other out in the end.

A slow Saturday for the Premier League so I'm following Sunderland West Brom. I haven't watched a Sunderland game this Campaign yet, but I have been following them and as such was shocked by how good they looked in that opening half against West Brom. They don't look like a team who have only managed to capture one point all season, especially on the build up, it's just a shame they aren't more consistent in front of goal. Just like with Leicester, you can play the best football in the world but it doesn't mean shit if you aren't scoring goals.

On the other end Chadli looks like a pretty tremendous signing for West Brom. They are a bit of a nothing side in my opinion, especially given they've managed to stay so comfortably in the Prem for so long, but this season with signings like Chadli and Rondon's form they have a lot more about them.

Sunderland were the better team in the first half, but as soon as West Brom went on the attack they just shredded right through Sunderland.

Watching the United game.

Stoke looked awful at the start but got better as the first half went on, exploiting the fact that United don't appear to be taking them seriously. United's arrogance could have cost them a few times in that first half, if Stoke had more quality up front. Bony looks lost out the front there. Stoke's European theatrics aren't helping them any.

Some beautiful football from United though when they switched on, flashes of the old United, but for the most part they just looked lazy, like they didn't care about this game. Plus I'm still waiting for Pogba to live up to his price tag.

Either way, both teams probably go into the second half thankful the other team hasn't got a goal on the board.

Both teams cost themselves three points in the end, so I think United and Stoke should both be happy to come away with a point. United's goal was very nice, Stoke's not so much but well deserved.

Is the new stadium pretty much paid off by now? Has anyone done a bar graph or such comparing ticket prices to Arsenal home games with that of the other Prem League football venues?

P.S.
Now that the season has started and I don't see Steed contributing I am getting a little concerned. Have you or anyone else heard from him?

Thanks for your concern man, I am fine.

We don't have a midfield mate. We eventually lose the battle there and our patchwork quilt of a back line are so incapable of been a unit, anyone can score past us.

The real issues are easy to see and the transfer window was unforgivable. Mr Short has sealed our fate and this time, it really is all over. We are far weaker than last year even. I am already planning for championship. Moyes, IMO, blaming everyone but himself.

As for you lot!

(Alphabetical)

Arsenal look good for a top 4 place

Crystal Palace made some excellent signings and now look a real threat. Townsend and Bentekke are the ones SAFC would have loved. Next level signings for Palace IMO.

Everton look solid to me. I think they will be top eight.

Leicester I have no idea! but wow, what a start to the Champions League!

Hope you are all well.

Swansea are a bit like Sunderland, they haven't built on what started out as decent foundations.

Thanks Geoff, although my team is unlikely to qualify for the premier league forum next year!

Welcome back bud. Yeah, I didn't expect such a rough start from you guys. I thought Moyes would be able to guide your team to something a little better, but apparently that's not the case. Hopefully it's not too late to turn things around.

Thanks mate, it was on the cards. Mark Lawrenson got it right when he said the chairman has been shopping at pound stretcher rather than Harrods. It is a disgrace and Ellis Short IMO, is incompetent.

I guess that's the understatement of the year. So how long before he's forced to sell the team, or in the very least give up his chairman role? Or is that even a possibility?

It is rumoured that he wants 200 million. You can see our problem? Who is going to buy us for that? I fear a Aston Villa situation here. Lessons are not learned and to be honest we should keep Moyes. Let him build a team of hungry youngsters mixed with some quality old heads. If that means the championship, so be it. We are all sick of having the life sucked out of us. The only mystery is how has Short avoided the wrath of the fans for so long. It's desperate Gvortex, bloody desperate.
