Well done today tob, at least when Palace get beat tomorrow we'll have company at the foot of the table with Bournemouth. Palace have never lost the first four games of any league campaign apparently, I dunno how true that is but if it is then history is gonna be made tomorrow and De Bore will be out on his ear.

Agree Geoff if De Bore lose again then Palace have to act both parties don't suit each other and it was the wrong appointment in the first place.
I would like to see Palace get something tomorrow at least for the fans.

Well done Tob and Penton Man, solid win.

Sorry GVortex and Ocean.

Edit: Bad result Geoff, but Palace deserved something.

As for us, this is the worst time in our history. In my lifetime, I have never known fans to lose their spirit or abandon the club in such huge droves. Unheard of and I don't know where we go from here. Ugly scenes yersterday with fans snapping and I fear it could get worse. Then, Grayson's press conference basically turned fans against him when he stated, 'we don't need another striker' Ok, simple Simon, ok!

Might as well put that 'R' next to Palace's name and be done with it. First top flight team in NINETY THREE YEARS to lose their first four without scoring according to SSN. It's not that the manager shouldn't be given more time - Christ, it took Fat Sam 8 or 9 games to get that first win with this shower of eejits - it's that the style of play is simply alien to the players and even going 4-3-3 today wasn't enough against a typically organised Burnley side.

See you next season, Steedy!

I don't know what Sunderland can do next steedeel who would want the job and another manager coming in won't get much money to work it if the owner still can't find a buyer for the club its the fans who suffer.

Like you said geoff he doesn't suit Palace and the club should act fast the next few games Palace have Man.City and United away so if they act now they got time on their side to start again only to find a manager who suits the Palace way.

And he's gone. Never a right fit for the club, I seriously don't know what Parish and co. were thinking, and with those kinds of headlines (Palace's unwanted record-breaking even making the national news reports) I think he had to go.

Had Palace taken their chances yesterday then it might've given him a stay of execution but with that run coming up I think they want to get someone in (oh great, here comes Woy) because those games against Utd, City and Chelsea are almost freebies. No-one will be sacking Hodgson if he loses this next four so he and the players can go out with the pressure off, as strange as that sounds. It's the Southampton game which is crucial.

'bye Frank, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

The pressure's totally off the CP players getting any points at all from their next four, and therefore their first eight games in the season.

The sad thing is geoff the board and Parish embarrassed the club with only four games into the season.
They must have been aware that de boer's style and Palace way of playing didn't suit each other but at least Hodgson is a experience manager who can adopt to his surroundings just look at what he did at Fulham for example any way would you be happy with Hodgson as your new manager geoff.

Isn't a team's way of playing dictated by the manager?

Yep, 8 games gone with zero points is a very realistic possibility. But, as tob said just above, Palace brought this upon themselves by hiring someone with a style completely and utterly alien to this football club. Then again we wouldn't be in this ridiculous position if Allardyce hadn't quit so it's yet another chapter in the don't-know-whether-to-laugh-or-cry saga that is Crystal Paralysis, as my old 6th form tutor used to call them. Along with Charlton Pathetic

Not happy with Woy at all tob, he's a footballing dinosaur and his last match as manager being England's 2-1 defeat to Iceland speaks for itself. Palace are quickly going down the gurgler but this EPL run was always gonna end sometime.

I have never known it as bad as this Tob. I can see us going into administration or straight down to div 1. Short is a poison that needs removing from the club. A club as big as us spending 1.million on 10 players? We are a laughing stock.

Woy would be a utter nightmare of an appointment. Palace have to get it right, if they do they have every chance if stopping up. They have the players to get out of trouble.

I feel the same way about big Sam. Just when we were getting it right, he quit and the free fall began.

I wouldn't say the pressure is off altogether. It will be very tense as they won't want to be getting to 10 games without at least 4-5 points on the board. Once the tot sets in, it can be incredibly tough. Trust me, I am a expert!
