Does any of the insiders know about upcoming hardware releases?
Example: is Sony considering a bluray version of the DVPCX995V 400 disk changer?

I know about the 200 disk server out now, I was wondering about a more equipment rack friendly model.

An additional question:

Does any of the insiders have a inkling as to a timetable for a Sony 1.1 Blu-ray player with bitstream out?

Forgive me if this question has been asked recently...

Can anyone provide an update on when we might see the BD players from Denon hit the street? I know that they will be pricey, but I'm seriously sold on their AV equipment. I would expect that these players will support DTS-HD MA and also do a fantastic job at upscaling. I'm itching to get my PS3 out of my theater room and back in my living room

Insiders:

Please pass along to your contacts (if you have 'em) at Disney my appreciation for what I consider the best examples of what BD can deliver. Namely Cars, Meet The Robinsons, and Ratatouille.

Disney continues to impress and deliver some of the best experiences on blu in terms of PQ and AQ.

I know when friends and family begin commenting on how incredible something looks and sounds on BD that we're truly on to something here. These recent titles (and the Pirates movies) always seem to elicit the "ooh and ahh" response.

Default The polls are in:

Paidgeek,

So the Sony polls have been up for a couple of days now.

The 80s

The 90s

Have any titles surprised you? Anything look like it may get shifted? Too early to tell still?

Do we have a Disney Insider here? Anyway, looking at the Sony 1980's - 1990' movie polls, I suddenly remembered about some cartoons that I am sure will become an instant must buy if they are released on Blu. They have or at least had a very strong following. I am talking about Gummi Bear series primarily, but then there were The Rescue Rangers and a few others. I realize they probably do not make a good HD material, but still should sell a lot, especially if Disney releases them with the remastered surround sound, and keeps all the original series including the pilot. What do you think?

any insider,

I just read on hdd that universal won't be releasing the bourne trilogy via boxset. Im sure there's not much to read into, but i just found it odd such a big money maker that the hd camp would..Strongly suggest that they release it. Any word on the reasoning for leaving out one of their major titles, especially when they already don't bring in the revenue that the blu camp does?

P.S.
make no mistake im not suggesting they're jumping ship...i surely don't want to start that whole rumor mill and read through 10 pages of that.

Probably has more to do with the fact the first two are already available to buy. The reason why Spiderman trilogy made so much sense to release is because it wasn't available (the first two).

At least that's my opinion as a retailer. And no I don't think this is any kind of hint of Universal saying they are going BR or neutral. Probably more of a reality check where they know the people who would have purchased the trilogy box probably already got the first two months ago.

Oh, that's right, it is the 15th today right? Something about a "Secret"?

Hope this is as fun as it sounds. Let's just get this out of the way now: this discussion is worthless without pics...

By the way Penton, is Kanye West still performing at this thing? I wouldn't be surprised if he bailed on it, given the death of his mother... Bummer.

Cheers!

the only boxset that has sold well on HDDVD is PE. even the matrix didnt do all that well and heroes had to be givin away.

Just watched CARS and was blown away by the visuals and audio which was crystal clear. Please pass my thanks on to Disney 'insiders' for an incredible release.

Can we add Dark Crystal to the '80s list? Though it's probably too late as many people have already cast their votes.

That’s the only sour and truly depressing thing somehow associated with this event.
No, he will not perform as previously scheduled.

He was very close to his Mom.
My condolences go out to Kanye for his loss.

I won’t be taking a camera as I don’t want to look the “tourist” type.

P.S.
This may be of interest to you in particular. The word is (and I’m not certain of this) that the plastic surgeon that did this elective procedure never got prior medical clearance from an Internist before doing the surgery.
