I watched/listened to your leader's speech today @ the UN.
That was a very nice written speech, whoever wrote it...the smart group of people.
The delivery was calm (I like that).

Greta is more pleasing when she's composed, calm, and not sad and mad.
Peace is always best, even when the world is burning all around us.
Who can stop it to burn? ...Only smart people who act...adjusting HDR for each onscreen moving action.

So, in addition to careful make-up, set design, a quick braintrust grocery list:

1.an HDR on set monitor is sorely needed
2. DP’s and Directors coming to a consensus as to a standard light level best for HDR capture at least as a guide for new practioners
3. Set an exposure goal (in your mind) for objects and surroundings of most interest of more like ~ 5½ stops rather than the currently typical 3½ stops
4. Locking down a transfer function for the HDR master such as ACES
with Season 2 of Mindhunter

Interesting video.

Vincent discusses whether or not there are any UHD discs that have colors which go beyond DCI-P3. He found that Into the Spider-Verse, Lego Batman, and Planet Earth 2 do.

Do 4K Blu-ray Discs Contain Colours Outside DCI-P3? - YouTube

You would think some of the newer PIXAR and Disney Animation files would be closer to the Rec 2020 gamut since they have from, at least, Inside Out been grading at Rec 2020 and not DCI-P3. But god only knows with Disney Home Video...

I wouldn't throw them under the bus just yet. The P3 primaries as noted on the disc in the metadata are just that: metadata to signal what's in the wider 2020 container, just as the HDR metadata signals what's in the 10k-nit container. But those figures are not the content itself, and just as we have discs that greatly exceed the 4000-nit mastering display data then it figures that we've also got discs that exceed the P3 mastering display gamut.

For our Dutch membership I’m informed that the preview mode for Disney+ launched in the Netherlands works well on Android devices if you can find this app: com.disney.disneyplus .

[Show spoiler]
^ , she’s not a member of the film crew, but rather the wife of a chief aircrew survival equipmentman (aviation warfare) involved with the production

The Thursday Night Football game isn't being shown in UHD/HDR here in Canada, but the image quality is getting rave reviews from those in the US.

Looked Amazing on my 82".

There were a few camera angles that looked lower resolution, but all main angles especially the #1 angle, looked awesome. Ultra sharp with no ringing and amazing crisp detail and smoothness. If all sports could look that good, 4k tv sales would go through the roof to all the skeptics.

I watched it in 4K on the Fox Sports app. No HDR, but the 4K was a noticeable improvement over the HD broadast

It wasn't actually native 4K, which again, goes to show that even upscaled 4K can look very sharp and detailed, especially when paired with HDR. The cameras they used were 1080p, but they upscaled to 4K for delivery.

It was supposed to be HDR via the Fox Sports app. Did you not have the proper equipment for HLG over HDMI?
