It’s interesting to learn that different people(s) see color differently –
“That the average person in India were calling unique yellow, the average person in Reno (Nevada) would say is too orange.”
(50:39)
And a study from a few years ago out of the University of York in England with regards to perception of yellow by you Brits, differing, depending on the season – http://www.yalescientific.org/2015/1...h-the-seasons/

What DV profile(s) does Windows 10 support? Does it support LLDV? I would assume so, given that the Xbox does.

Dolby Vision overrides the player settings. If it is TV-led, then 8-bit RGB is sent out. It is really 12-bit 4:2:2 pretending to be 8-bit RGB. For player-led, it outputs HDR12 (12-bit YCbCr 4:2:2.)

Those are for apps on their devices: Google - SHIELD, Smart TVs. Microsoft - XBOX..., Amazon - Fire devices...etc.

After some research, it appears that Android 10 supports HDR10+: https://source.android.com/devices/tech/display/hdr

The Google Play Movies app apparently has HDR10+ content: https://www.androidcentral.com/hdr10...nd-tv-app-year

Regarding Microsoft, those docs refer to Windows 10 UWP apps on desktop, I believe. I don't think the Xbox supports HDR10+.

LG is now in the LED Cinema game: https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.ph...&id=1592284295
https://www.lg-informationdisplay.co...cinema/LAD033F

One thing that stood out to me in the specs is 12 bit color. AFAIK, the Samsung and Sony cinema displays only do 10 bit color. So is this the first LED display tech with 12 bit color? I know Dolby Cinema laser projectors do it. But that’s the only other one I can think of off the top of my head.

Although they only say P3 coverage and don’t mention 2020. So I’m not sure what to make of it.

Apparently, the Samsung Onyx "uses 16-bit color (and 18-bit color for internal processing)".

While I believe the 18 bit processing (don't Sony home TVs do 16 bit processing?), the 16 bit there is referring to grayscale. So they don't mention the actual color display specs, but I believe it's 10 bit until proven otherwise

https://displaysolutions.samsung.com...il/1266/IC025H

16 bit color depth = 281 trillion colors

12 bit color depth = 68 billion colors

10 bit color depth = 1 billion colors
