And where’s Geoff D, stacking grocery shelves on a Sunday? Not only do we do bleeding edge HDR and jets here, but links to vintage capture -

Geoff, the pole even makes apperances in business journals
from a different angle

P.S.
10:00 A.M. means it's time for me to head on over to the staging area for our group ride....hopefully no bleeding from taking soil samples today

We are over 200,000 views already this month, with five more days still to go, including today:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10174

But the number of views and posts is not important, it's the content's quality.
Same for a quality film @ the box office. Some films make tremendous amounts of money worlwide with huge number of tickets sold, but it don't mean a thing if the film has no real soul value. And vice versa; some films make zero money, sell zero tickets, but they have the most soul in human values.

Say just for example ********* versus Roma.
I play safe here; I don't want to offend anyone.
Do you rather get out of the theater blind and deaf poor than soul illuminated rich?
'Top Gun: Maverick' should do well, like 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'.
We're not talking 'Alita: Battle Angel' here, or 'Avengers: Endgame'.
Maverick is no Titanic.

But yeah, July is a good month for viewership, very good.
We might hit 240,000 views by the end of this month.
And then in August...the 3 million views total milestone.
That's not bad...only 22 millions still to go ...
Give it few good years ...

That remains to be seen given the culture we live in now in which denigrating a real naval hero like John McCain is acceptable in some quarters. So I’m not sure how actors’ portrays of Hollywood naval aviator plot lines will fare….not to mention, none of the actors possess super human powers or it being a cartoonish-like movie - https://www.pastemagazine.com/articl...ies-of-20.html

Add in the fact that those extreme fans from the 80’s who rabidly worship the F-14 Tomcat may end up feeling unfulfilled if they don’t see enough of it included in this sequel to satisfy their tastes. Bottom line, I feel Top Gun: Maverick has a lot of challenges in terms of significant box office success; nevertheless, I know I’ll enjoy it.

There's honor in the US Navy, in the US Air Force. Sure like anywhere there are few rotten apples that we read in the news recently.
As for John he was a real top gun guy; it's the one insulting him and millions more on Twitter and news media who need to spend the rest of his life in jail, him and his entire entourage who supports and encourages him. No need for a drawing.

Top Gun 2 will do superbly because of the aerial cinematography, latest High Def cameras used, the angles, the pulsing sounds of jet turbines, ...all that Cruise jazz.
The original was the father of surround sound with great serial shots; this sequel will be nothing short of state-of-the-art all affairs in the air as on water and on roads.

You have been promoting it for a year now? We know more than enough to realize that it will be a true top gun. The trailer alone a good hint all by itself. And Tom is no small actor in Hollywood. Worry not Penton, your message is crystal clear and it widens all across oceans (meaning other sites with a very positive outlook). Keep @ it, there's no two of you.

Oh, superpower in comic books and movies is completely different than superpower in real life; the former is for entertainment, the later is for protecting life in order to live in a better world for all...not the 1% who have all the money in the world and use it to control the 99% of us. It's the 99% who has truly the superpower; without them the 1% wouldn't even give orders, wouldn't even been elected. But the system is flawed and it's up to the 99% (us) to fix the flaws of the 1%. ...Something in that line. The laws of the land also apply to the super riches. No need to go further than Jeffrey Edward Epstein and his entire entourage (supporters, accomplices, contributors, protectors, corruptors, disruptors, helpers, friends, low life similar species).

That's why we have the Navy, the Marines, Air Force, ...to stop the invaders and law breakers.

I’ve been known to graciously accept complimentary amenities of the like.
Heck, one of the executives pictured here –
https://www.facebook.com/philholland...532172327905:0
has paid for my lunch before (and later offered diner with our spouses)…..
paidgeeek, that lunch was at Cedar Creek Inn if memory serves?

One neat thing about the movie is that like the Tour de France almost serving secondarily as an exceptional travelogue for the beautiful country of France for those who watched the race this year, albeit on a less grand scale and more subtlety (no narration), some filming of Top Gun: Maverick shows off the beauty of California. Not precisely revealed on social media, nor for that matter, imdb,
this scene was shot passing thru a nice neighborhood in coastal San Pedro having a fine ocean view - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post16544288

Were you there?
I was there presenting with Don. We did two sessions, with the second one having a much larger crowd.

Phil missed out the night before were we got to watch a movie on the CLED at Sony.

Yep, working 'til late most nights nowadays. It's carnival week in Swanage! I bet the pole has got its own float.

I was all oiled up and on my way to the shoot when I passed the pole. I was star struck and mesmerized by it's sheer awesomeness. I couldn't move. Needless to say I lost my spot as an extra that day. But it was worth it just to be in the poles presence.
