That's good news because it is shows like this that put HDR in all the homes of people from our planet...from the young ones to the eldest...with supervision of course.

What a beautiful blue planet we live on; life's good.

@bruceames, since I know you like this stuff, if somebody eventually sends me the powerpoint slides from his portion of the presentation, I’ll pass it onto you (my knees are holding up so far given your recommendations )….

Keeping the Physical Media Supply Chain Relevant
Panel:
Rob Salter, Director, Reverbz Media
Ray Wheeler, Vice President European Business Development and Sales, Sony DADC UK
Simon Williams, Head of Supply Chain, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment

Disc sales continue to generate significant revenues for the entertainment industry despite declining volumes, changing consumption patterns and a rapidly changing distribution structure. In this session we will hear more about what these changes mean and gain some valuable insights into what can and is being done to ensure that the physical media supply chain remains efficient and relevant to today’s market environment.

LG Signature OLED65W7P W7 Series OLED TV review
http://www.digitaltrends.com/tv-revi...led-tv-review/

" …
The variety of HDR flavors remains a point of confusion. Fortunately, LG is ready to handle all of them.

Given LG has outfitted the W7 OLED with advanced processors capable of being updated to cover all foreseeable HDR formats, I’d say this is about as future-proof a TV as one could expect. I also believe one can expect to get at least 100,000 hours of viewing from this TV before any noticeable fade. In other words: This TV will last longer than you need it to.

If you have the cash and want the coolest looking TV on the planet, then by all means, absolutely buy the LG Signature W7 OLED TV. If the price is a little excessive and you just want to get at the amazing picture quality LG’s 2017 OLEDs deliver, you’ll get exactly that from the less expensive B7 or C7 series."

In terms of our democracy, what scares me the most about the new leadership is if things like this - e.g. a private jet belonging to a Russian billionaire oligarch kept showing up at the same locations as Donny (Concord, N.C., Charlotte, N.C., Las Vegas, Miami) turn out to be nefarious in nature….

Be it things on the Paramount lot itself
Or, at other venues off the lot

That first week in June every year seems to offer something worthwhile for those still in town not having yet started their getaway summer vacations.

Dan, I presume Suzie didn’t get back to you with a reply, ergo, a little employee insight with regards to 2017 Samsung HDR TVs and ST 2094-40….

No response from Suzie yet.

"Catapano observed that Samsung HDR TVs for the 2017 model year “are ready for ST.2094-40.”": ongoing standardization of HDR10+ in CTA?

Yes, but the Dolby Vision Sony Z9D Series do (((3D))) ♦ http://www.sony.ca/en/electronics/te...xbr-z9d-series

I said, 3D. And JVC 4K/HDR front projectors also do (((3D))) ♦ http://procision.jvc.com/product.jsp...Id=140&page=10

Do you know a good pub in your area, where we can discuss the state of the affairs around the world? ...Like a "universal" pub. ...With pool tables, dart boards, pole dancers, good food and HDR screens.

No pole dancers (by job description) and I haven’t been there in quite awhile so I’m not up to date with their TVs, but I do like this place…..https://www.cocknbullbritishpub.com/gallery/

Also, see the photos on yelp to get an idea of its atmosphere…. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cock...l-santa-monica

Otherwise, we all meet up at Geoff’s Place
and talk about laying pipe (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/...b0fa65b844b451).

You are right you get the same performance out of the C series B series which is a lot cheaper , i paid alot of money for my signature oled, i will be definitely buying the 2017 B series because its the same performance for a lot cheaper , 2018 Oled models will have high frame rates.

The Sony Z9D will also support all HDR formats being operational in 2017 (i.e. HDR10, Dolby Vision, HEVC HLG HDR, VP9-HLG / VP9-PQ YouTube HDR).
