Disney Pocahontas / Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1995-1998) (Special Edition)

Pocahontas / Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World Blu-ray

Pocahontas / Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World Blu-ray Review

The Silver Screen The Making of Walt Disney's Pocahontas article

Gran Drex, A fellow memeber from the mexican supervaca.com forum has posted pics from the Mexican Lion King BD with an insert advertising Pocahontas on BD coming soon, so the rumors of a 2012 special edition were true... maybe Aladdin, Mulan and Robin Hood are also coming as rumored.

YAY! Glad I sold my DVD...I was hesitant at first thinking it would take forever if at all, but it seems Disney is starting to release more than ever. No reason why they shouldn't though for titles like this and Tarzan.

Will definitely upgrade. Hercules and Hunchback are long overdue for a re-release.

the 5.1 soundmix/music score on the DTS laserdisc is also simply gorgeous. recently rewatched some of the supplements on the DVD and the premier in New York City's Central Park is a very interesting featurette - I had forgotten that Disney had struck 70mm prints for the premier.

+1. Also Robin Hood, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, and The Jungle Book.

Man, they need to release Hercules, too. Hopefully next year, since it is the 15th anniversary, just like it is the 20th anniversary for Aladdin. I want them both next year.

Day One, for sure. Disney should release more of titles every year. Or rather, quality ones like this, instead of Bambi II, they should do Emperor's New Groove or non-sequels.

I'll get it, but there are many other Disney animated classics I'd rather have on Blu first.

They really do tease up don't they! I love Sword in the Stone as well, been a long long time since I've seen it. Wasn't crazy about Pocahontas but just quickly watching some of the songs off youtube it melted my heart due to the issues it raises.

First day purchase for sure. I'm glad Disney is cranking out the releases all of sudden.

I never seen the DVD version but I think the blu-ray needs some kind of upgrade. The sound and picture will look great!
