Since I have a region B PS3, the only BD available is the German one. The problem is there are 3 versions available!!

So which one is the closest to the Criterion release?

You should edit the title, the release year for Stagecoach is 1939.

I did! The video quality is the same, but according to reviewers on Amazon.de, the original English audio is unsynchronized.

According to Rewind, there are TWO German releases of the 1939 film. The 2011 release from Schroder Media has just the theatrical trailer as an extra while the 'Great Movies' release the following year is as barebones as it can be.

The Beaver discusses only the Criterion BD and compares them to the DVDs of the film; there is no mention of either German release BD as far as I could see. Also, the screenshots of the Criterion BD look a bit too grainy for my taste and is not highly rated by the users here.

I have decided to wait for a better BD package from another company - perhaps Eureka MoC?

According to DVDCompare, the UK DVD release from Universal features a half hour of “Interviews with Peter Bogdanovich and Harry Carey Jr.” However, looking on eBay the back cover makes no reference to this?

Does anyone know if the recent (official) Spanish release of Stagecoach (ContraCorriente)has forced Spanish subtitles when viewing the film in English? Cheers
