ps3 controller with turbo?

Just thought of something. I was having issues with that Sentinel battle in Wolverine where you have to keep mashing the "O" button to rip open the metal chest casing. And no matter how hard and fast I pressed the button it didn't work.

So I was wondering about that turbo setting that used to be on the old SNES controllers.

Is there a PS3 controller out there that has that function, and would that work the way I'm thinking?

Just click the turbo switch, and then press and hold the appropriate button and it would act as if it was being pressed over and over extremely fast?
